I'm really nervous. Anyone else flying solo yet?
Not yet. Still waiting not so patiently for baby to be here. But totally understand your nervousness. My DH can only take 2-3 days off, and then it's just me, the toddler, and the newborn for 10 hours a day. Yikes!
My first day 100% solo will be this coming Saturday - just slightly more than 2 weeks postpartum. I'm nervous about it, too. So far, on the days DH has been at work, I've had people provide dinner and shuttle my kids, even take them for playdates. So I've had to take care of myself and baby, but that's nothing to worry about. Saturday will be alllll day alone with the kids. At least it looks like it will be gorgeous weather, so I can take them to a park and let them run while I enjoy some sunshine, or something.
SAHM to Melinda (Oct '03), Jacob (Aug '05), Alex (Apr '08), and Malcolm (Sept 29, '11)
I've had long solo stretches but so far today is my first full day solo.
So far so good, but we'll see how I do in my personal challenging time (the 4-6 p.m. stretch.)
How are you finding it, Shonahsmom?
How did it go on your own those who have been doing it on their own?
My dh went back to work when Sarah was 8 days old. i loved having him at home, but I was grateful to get back into some kind of routine.
Sarah is 3 weeks old now and we are back to homeschooling and everything is pretty much back into routine. :)
