Thank you! I didn't do a hpt today because I don't have many. But I do haev a lot of OPKs and with my last 2 pgs I got a blazing opk the same day as my hpt bfp. So today I did an opk and it was very light. So I'm pretty sure a hpt would be bfn too. But I'm doing a HPT tomorrow for sure! :)

So you just barely tested, right? Are you a regular 28 day cycle with 14 day ovulation? By the way, hi! It's so weird to me to jump right into such intimate details! Congratulations. I think that if I am pg I will be due November 1 also. I have a day 17 ovulation, so this is the day I would normally get my period, and so far hasn't shown. So here's hoping.

Do you mean you ovulate ON day 17?

Ok cool. So. Did you temp or do opks to confirm that this cycle? Or is it possible that you o'd late? If you know for sure you didn't O later than normal, it's pretty likely that you're pregnant. :)

I don't know what most of the abbreviations in this thread mean. Would you mind spelling them out? opks? I don't know what that is. Is it predictor kits? Then no! I did temps for years and years and there never was a difference, and with my son, I used day 17 to predict his due date and he was born on that day.

Sorry! Opks are ovulation predictor kits.

Are you saying when you temped you couldn't see a shift?

Well, you definitely have regular cycles then! I bet it's pretty likely that you're pg.

I didn't do any temps! I haven't for years, because it's really always the same. So I just assumed that I ovulated on day 17 and now I'm 2 days late for period, regardless. So I think I'm definitely there! I haven't breathed a word to ANYONE yet.

Me too! Pink line this morning on a FRER. Woooo! I'm 13dpo, which for a first baby I guess means a due date of Nov. 8. I'm totally dazed. Although I've wanted one for a while, this cycle is the first time I've ever gotten a +. I have no idea what to expect, or if it will stick. I have no regular doctor and no midwife picked out... guess I need to start looking! Except, I expect to move for graduate school in a few months, so whoever I find here, I will just have to find someone else there. So frustrating!

For now I guess I will just keep taking my multivitamins, Bs and Flax and keep putting on the progesterone cream, and see what happens! Can't wait to see who else turns up here.

First baby due Oct/Nov 2011. Slowly finding my way...

BFP today - I took two because I wasn't sure I could believe the first. It was a clear blue easy with a plus or neg and I thought i had heard they weren't that reliable so i got a digital yes or no - and it was a yes! Wow! My cycles have been between 32 and 38 days since I got them back after giving birth almost a year ago and so I'm averaging that down to 33 day cycle. If I go by that, I am due the 3rd of Nov - if I go by my lmp I am due Oct 29th.

I hope to see many more mamas joining us soon!

Here is to a bunch of sticky babies mamas.

Hi!  Congratulations to everyone!  I think I'm here as well.  I have 2 possible ovulation dates, which makes my due date either November 1 or November 5th.

I have a 2 year old daughter who also has a November birthday...hers is Nov 20th.  Looks like November is going to be a busy month in our house!  :)

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

well I've been told that it might already be too late to hire HB Midwives- sheesh. Around here you have to call them before you have sex I guess. I had no idea I was pregnant and tested sunday when my period was 5 days late (was in a state of denial there for a few days). one already returned a crazy curt little note "we can't take care of you" and not even saying why! Ah well, obviously not the mW for me!

thanks for the hug. I did get an appointment with another HB practice for next week- and I am just going to forget about that weird one. Obviously not a good fit for me :) I am just so surprised at how fast you have to move! I guess that means there are not enough MWs for the demand here? Or NYC women are just super-organized and on top of it (very likely).

Emma, it could be that particular *practice* just isn't taking Oct/Nov clients (could be a big conference, vacation time, etc). Or they are having business problems or no backup... I doubt they got full up this week, that would be nuts!

I have been wondering when to contact the MW that I love, though. I haven't used her personally before, we went with fully-covered birth center before, but  swore I'd have a hb if we ever had another...

Yay! Congratumalations people.

Emma you are totally scaring me because I don't want to be asking midwives in May and having them all tell me they can't do homebirth for November. I am interviewing some midwives in my area this week just to start getting a sense of how this goes, but I won't know for months still where I'm moving. Could be Tucson, could be Seattle, could be Chapel Hill...

nmouse don't let me scare you. unless you are moving to NYC... we hired our HBMW in San Diego around 20 weeks or so. I don't know if my friends are just being dramatic but a really good IRL friend said when she started contacting people at 8w (in NYC) many were already full. Yikes! And boy they aren't quick about responding (except for the one that I have already scheduled an appointment with).
