I have already made a hat.  I will probably make more and hopefully some booties if I find and patterns I like.  Any suggestions socalimommy?  A friend of mine makes all her babies socks and I am interested in that.  I would really love to make clothes and my own diapers but I don't have a sewing machine.

I'm going to the store right now to get some yarn (like I don't have enough!!) for these:

This baby is going to be set on the knitted stuff. I'm going to go crazy. I'm also planning some cardigans, a blanket, a sleepy bad thingy, rattles/ toys, and (of course) diaper covers.

I want to sew as much as I can for this baby! Which will be a challenge because I want to try to stay on team green. I figure i'll just sew for both genders and sell, trade, or hoard half of it. I actually started sewing in the 2ww! I made 3 (all girly) of the jamie jumpers from the little one layette pattern on fishsticks designs hyena cart store. They turned out SO stinking cute!! I need to make like a thousand more. Going to make a blanket too, but I might wait till after the birth because those take a lot of fabric and it's not cheap!

I knitted most of the hat last night and it is way too big. :( Oh well, it will be a toddler hat and I'll adjust the pattern and knit another!

I am making cloth diapers. I don't even remember how many I have, its something like 6 newborn fleece soakers, a few newborns, and a couple one size. I'm teaching myself how to knit too, but I don't know how long it will take me to be able to make something.

I messed up on the owl cable and ended up having to frog it totally and start over. I decided to just use that patter but without the owls on it. I'm thinking to use the same hat  pattern and instead of the owls i will make the hat look like a acorn :)

So far I have these two planned, but once I know if it's a boy or girl I'll have more projects for clothing. :) I'm also going to make a new ring sling.

I just found this while browsing  http://projectsbyjess.blogspot.com/2011/02/tutorial-baby-sleep-sack.html

I plan on making a gender neutral one, and then a bunch gender specific later. It looks so cute and easy.

I picked up Anna Maria Horner's Handmade Beginning's book, and Lotta Jansdotter's baby book too, and once I can pull myself out of bed & away from the toilet, I hope to have my machine humming away!  I"m most excited that there is a pattern for a baby snuggler, you know the kind that you wrap around and velcro close?  Those just came out when I had DD, and there were no sewing patterns available (that I knew of!), so I"m excited.

I'll probably start on my diaper bag first, since I can use it ahead of time for a day bag.

I have yarn for a cape sitting and waiting for me. Haven't looked up the link to see if the pattern is on ravelry, but I found a really cute one in a book from the library-Knit Two Together, I think, by Tracey Uhlman and a friend of hers. Planning on blue since we won't know what we're having until he/she arrives. Socks are on the list, too, as well as some new wool soakers.

Still processing the news, but I'm definitely planning to knit a sleep sack or two, a blanket and several cardigans. Probably hats too, since my last was a spring/summer baby and this one will be a winter. Oh, and I want to make lots of longies, some with feet!

I really want to make a sweater for myself - maybe I should do this now before things get too crazy with two!

I'm making 24 fitted diapers and 12 covers for the newborn stage, then probably about 30 one-size pocket dipes.  I knit and crochet too, so once we find out the sex, I'm going to go crazy making hats, sweaters, blankets, etc.  I can't wait!  I'm going to make a car seat "snuggle bag" too, it's like a sleeping bag kinda.

I am going to "make" a sling--I learned on a babywearing website that a 5 yard cut of jersey fabric will make a very effective moby wrap-style sling. It requires no sewing, only a bit of instruction on the dozens of ways to wrap a baby in it. I used to wear my toddler in the one I "made" from woven fabric from the clearance bin...$1/yard! I had to hem that one, but prob the cheapest sling ever!

I plan on knitting a couple of pairs of loniges. I do not have a specific pattern picked out yet.  I am hopeful that I will have time to knit some socks and hats and perhaps even a sweater.

KeanusMomma, I did the exact same thing with my last DS.  It worked great.  There is a great video on youtube or a momma explaining some of the basics of the DIY (I don't have access to the link right now :( )
