Here's the thread, ladies!!!

My first appointment is April 8th at 10am. I'll be 8 weeks, 3 days. So far, all I'm doing is taking prenatals and not drinking caffeine. I haven't really changed my eating habits. =)

Symptoms: SOREEE boobs. Constipation followed up with loose bowels. Hunger. ALWAYS. Very emotional. That's about it. The "under construction" feeling has dissipated for the most part, as has my acne.

Hiya, TTCCoC! (I suppose I could call you Nicole, couldn't I?)  Trying to liven us all up a little over here?  In some ways I think being pregnant is more boring than TTC - you don't really get to DO much, just wait and see what happens, watch your symptoms as they progress, and then wait some more.  Of course, it's much more exciting in the sense that things ARE actually happening!  I like the idea of a chat thread/roster thinger.  I wanna join, I wanna join!

Please add me.

Hykue:  Julie, 30, Tried for 7 months or so, with an early loss in September of last year.  EDD Oct 30.

Had my first appointment today.  It was pretty boring really, but I do get to make an appointment for a dating ultrasound now, which makes me happy because I'll get to see a heartbeat and start to feel a little safer, hopefully.

On a farm with our kiddo (nearly 2), two dogs, two cats, ten goats, two donkeys, nine sheep, a bunch of chickens, and a husband (in the winters). We have another on the way!

I agree. The TTC boards are so much more exciting. I guess that's why I still linger over there a lot. LOL

You know that whole saying that animals "know" when you're pregnant? It's so true. I have a 2 year old German Shepherd who is a daddy's boy. To the max. Well, for the last two days, he's been my dog. He's slept in bed with me (Which he never, ever sleeps in bed PERIOD). He follows me around. He looks around every corner before he'll let me walk through. LOL It's CRAZY! And he's a hyper dog who all of a sudden calmed way down and won't jump on me anymore.

Add me please!

Mallory: Tried for 6 months before getting our BFP. My unofficial due date is around October 29.

With my daughter, I was also due at the end of the month, in February 09. I hung out in the Feb. DDC and ended up with a March baby. So, this time I'm playing it safe and hanging out here instead of October.

This part of pregnancy is pretty boring. You either feel like crap or you don't feel pregnant at all. Every morning, I'm checking to see if I can feel any kind of baby bump. They say you show earlier with your second, so we'll see. The funnest part is when I start to show a little. The second trimester is a whole lot more fun. I'm so looking forward to getting some energy back and feeling this little guy move around in there.

I have my first prenatal this afternoon. I'm not expecting to find much out, but hoping to schedule an ultrasound for dating purposes. It'll be so great to see and hear that heartbeat. I hate not knowing what's going on in there and I'm constantly wondering if I'm crazy and there's really no baby at all, even though it was confirmed with a blood test.

It's not too exciting here yet, but I remember with my first DDC it was the same way. The beginning of pregnancy is just kind of boring. It'll get more exciting here the more pregnant we all get. winky.gif

Please add me!!

Shauna: Got our BFP after our second month of trying.  This is our third and probably last baby. greensad.gif  EDD: 11/11/11

I'm trying to enjoy every bit of this pregnancy since it is probably my last.  I'm not feeling much as syptoms go other than really sore bbs.  I had horrible morning sickness with DS, so I'm hoping since I have been feeling great I won't have that probablem this go round.  I'm looking forward to having this DDC to help pass these looooong months along.  Have to go to Dr tomorrow for confirmation pregnancy test, then I'm making an appointment with a midwife.

Welcome.

And I agree. This is super boring and I'm totally thinking I'm going to go to the doctor and he's going to call me crazy. Even though I've taken about 20 tests and my boobs are killing me!!!

I just got a Positive-- this is our fourth pregnancy-- we have two boys--- I am feeling a bit nervous-- thinking EDD of 11/20/11--

still nursing DS who is almost 15months--

would appreciate some advice-- w/ the last two pregnancies I took progesterone suppositories the first trimester--  should I ask MW about taking it now-- we used a "fertility specialist" other two times so this is the first total surprise baby!

I just got back from my appointment. All looks well. The first due date I was given was October 15, which I said I knew wasn't right and asked for an ultrasound for a more accurate date. Sure enough, new due date is November 6! I'm 6 weeks 2 days along and got to see the tiniest little heartbeat! The tech said it's likely the heart just started beating in the last couple of days. It was kind of low, 98, but she said that's normal in the first few days of beating, it should start rising. So, I go back next week to make sure the heart is beating faster.

It's starting to feel a little more real now!

SO. New symptom today. My cheeks, upper lip, and chin feel like sandpaper. You can't visibly see anything, but when you feel it... It feels like sandpaper. I thought it was dry, but lotion made it burn. WTFFF.

My morning sickness is becoming harder to keep down... I haven't puked yet, but it'll happen. Bleck.

My morning sickness has been a lot worse this week too. I sent DH to the store earlier to get my supply of morning sickness snacks. Peanut butter crackers, jolly ranchers to suck on, lemonade, cereal, and bread for toast.

Eat frequently to help with the nausea, like every 1-2 hours. It's worse on an empty stomach. Ice cold drinks help too, for me it's water or lemonade. They say lemons help for some reason.

I haven't puked yet either, but sometimes I wish I would. Today has been a pj day with Sesame Street this morning. Not our usual routine, but the daycare kids seemed to like it. They don't get tv very often here, so it was a treat for them and allowed me to lay down for a little while.

Besides the morning sickness, I'm freaking myself out. I know no symptoms is normal around this time, but it doesn't make me feel better.

My dog didn't sleep with me last night. He's slept with me since I found out I was pregnant. My boobs don't hurt today. Except for the random bouts of sickness, I feel fine. BLAHHH. I have to quit freaking myself outtt.

I'm ready to join this party!

Dyanna, 35, got my BFP our first month of TTC.  It's our first baby!   EDD: 11/21/11 (Which means we conceived on the cycle starting on Valentine's Day! love.gif )

I'm totally excited, and nervous, and all of that good stuff.  I'm kind of in shock, because we really didn't think this would happen so quickly, lol.  I'm a bit apprehensive too, because of my age, but I'm going to do my best to just enjoy the ride and take things as they come.  Interestingly, I'm not really having any symptoms now (aside from the occasional twinge/cramp), but I did have some way sooner than I should have.  I started getting really moody/ hormonal, with mid- to lower-back pain, days before implantation would have even occured.  Strange, but there you have it.

Congrats ladies!

Last time I had constant MS starting at 7 weeks and I was exauhsted. Everyone told me that those were good signs but then we had a m/c anyway so this time I am trying not to read too much into anything. I am trying to enjoy the fact that I feel great and just go with the flow. I am not really a go with the flow person so this is new for me.

I've got all day naseau, which is pretty standard for me with my pregnancies.  What is unusual for me is that I'm hungry all the time.  In my previous pregnancies, that wasn't something I experienced until about 5 months along.

I'm hungry all the time too. So far my morning sickness is much like it was with my first pregnancy. I get hungry, feel sick, eat something, feel a little better. An hour later, do it again. I feel my worst after meals. Eating more at one time is hard to keep down.

I'm hoping this lasts about as long as it did with my first. The worst of it was over within a week, after a couple of weeks I was feeling almost normal. I could handle that again.

Hi! Amanda, due 11/9/11, our fourth child but my third pregnancy.

My morning sickness has officially kicked in. It starts out slow for me around week 6, peaks at week 10 or so, and then fades out. I was hoping this time would be different. I was trying so hard to prep for it by eating small, high protein meals frequently, but no such luck. My ms makes me feel nauseas ALL day and almost everything there is to eat sounds disgusting. I usually only want one random thing, and if I don't get that, I can't eat. Mostly, it's Japanese food, specifically vegetarian sushi. Maybe it's the sodium??

Yesterday I ate cheese tortelloni for breakfast, and all I wanted for dinner was a giant plate of tater tots and a salad with tons of ranch dressing. Sigh. So much for healthy eating.

Haha I have the same kind of cravings. The other day all I wanted was cheesy potatoes. Yesterday all I could think about was a Subway sandwich. I try to make myself eat other things but I don't get more than a couple of bites in before giving up. I made sloppy joe's for dinner the other night and the whole time I kept thinking "I don't know why I'm making this, I won't be able to eat it." And sure enough, I took two bites and couldn't take anymore. DD enjoyed it though.

Today I could really go for some homemade soup of some kind... chicken noodle or vegetable. Of course, I don't have any ingredients to make it. greensad.gif

I'm getting a little control over the morning sickness. I had two really bad days this week, mornings filled with Sesame Street for the kids because all I could do was lay down. Now, I'm keeping some crackers by the bed so I can eat one or two before getting up in the morning. Then, I force myself to eat a small breakfast, something with some protein. It's hard to choke it down, but I feel a whole lot better if I do. I have hard candies stashed all over the place and a jug of ice water by me at all times. I seem to peak around lunch time, always thinking I'm going to puke, but by the time I make it to the bathroom it's passed.
