I have had a sudden onset of nausea at night...specifically after I have gone to bed. It will even wake me up. I had not had nausea that wouldn't let me sleep since week 8 or 9.

Not sure what is causing it either...perhaps baby moving? Don't see a correlation w food consumed for dinner since it was nothing likely to aggravate my stomach.

Help! Anyone have this or have any pointers?

Thanks!

Spending my days with my precious son, the greatest blessing in my life - appropriatley born on Thanksgiving day

looking forward to when I can sleep more than a 2 or 3 hour stretch on a consistent basis!

Your baby is getting bigger and pushing on other organs. This includes the bottom of your stomach. Now, since your stomach stores food for 10+ hours before it's done being processed in there, you may notice an upset when you lay down. It's acid and food in your stomach trying to come up cuz your tummy is being pushed on by baby. Is the nausea by chance accompanied by light heartburn? Eat smaller dinners and bigger meals in the middle of the day and you should be fine. :)

I get woken up by hunger pains- not sure if that is what you are experiencing, but I'll go grab a banana in the middle of the night and eat that.  Baby is hungry :)  At least my little guy is.

I've been feeling something similar. I've assumed that it's mild heartburn, since it only happens when I'm lying down and feels more like I might be about to burp something up rather than simple nausea. Doesn't bother me enough to keep me awake yet, so I haven't taken anything for it. But first on my list if I did would probably be a Tums.

My nausea has come back a few times too recently (I am 25 weeks).  Through week 17 I had the worst nausea of any of my pregnancies- I was so glad when it ended!  It was always worst at night (not in bed, just sitting and watching TV on the couch) and that's when I've had it again.  For me it's not heartburn or hunger, it's just straight nausea.  Luckily I haven't thrown up again, I was so glad to be done with that!  I just think it is this particular baby and strong hormones.
