When it comes to private domestic infant adoption, are emoms going to want to place with a family who already have three bio children? I have made several adoption inquiries, and some agencies have told me upfront that they don't see emoms placing with larger (more than one or two children already in the home) families at all. Other people I've talked to say that there is a family that is right for every baby, and some emoms will like to see instant playmates and reassurance that you know what you're doing as a parent.

So is the truth somewhere in between?

Mama to Peanut (06/03), Pixie (05/05), Beast (09/07), and Baby Girl (11/09)

I think you're right, some mothers will want their child to be the only (or first) child in the adoptive home and others may be looking for their child to join a house full of children. I think that if you are going to use an agency, you should find one that is supportive of your family structure. If they don't think they will be able to help you, that's probably not the right choice for you.
