Hey, I'm new here and have been reading posts, so here's our story... Dh and I have three bio kids 14,5, and 2. We are wanting to adopt a few more kiddos through foster to adopt or straight adopt. We have finished all of our training/ classes, and finish our home study on Monday!!
We are hoping for a baby, but are open to a max of 2 age 0-5, either sex. We were almost through with the process in AZ but moved due to DH job change, so had to start all over in ID. luckily we are almost ready to start the matching process (more waiting) lol

We are new to idaho and are hoping to connect with people who have experience fostering and or adopting from Idaho

Classes/training completed 10/13

Excited to be almost ready to be licensed and matched with future forever children!

Hi there! Welcome to Mothering and the Adoptive Parents forum!! I hope you get a lot of good information here. Please feel free to check out our resource sticky at the top of the forum for lots of great info.

I'm not sure if there are adoptive parents here from Idaho; not everyone shares there residence. I'm sure that even if members aren't from Idaho, there will be some common experiences to share!

Where in Idaho are you? There's a pretty active Foster/Adopt community here in Region 1, but I don't know about elsewhere.

Hello! I'm late to the party here, but we are in the process of adopting, and live in Idaho.

We started the process last fall, and then lost our first referral for a 2 year old girl from Ukraine. We switched agencies, and now we are about to submit our "paper baby" (dossier) and get on the list for a referral.

We are using CASI for our home study and have had a great experience with them. It's a great team of ladies. Our new agency is called St Mary International Adoptions, they are actually in North Carolina, and provide referrals for Poland and Bulgaria. We are going through Poland.

Good luck to you! Before we started this process, I read that adoptions are not for the weak of heart and it's SO true. This has been a very challenging year for us.
