I'm thinking ahead to Father's Day and would love to get DH something as a dad-to-be. So, I was thinking that perhaps a book on fatherhood would be ideal... but since we're adopting, not one of those "what to expect while your wife is expanding" sorts of books.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

It might be sweet to get your husband a few children's books about Daddies, so he can imagine reading them to your little one after he or she arrives.

My suggestions:

The Daddy Mountain by Jules Feiffer
My Dad by Anthony Browne
Daddy and Me by Karen Katz
The Daddy Book by Todd Parr

Congratulations on adopting!

Something like 'Raising Adopted Children' might be good, too.

It seems that it's usually the adoptive mother who is the researcher & driving force behind adoptions- not always, but usually. As in, it's the mom who compiles the dossier and reads all of the books. So I think that any type of parenting book in general would be good.

New signature, same old me: Ann- mama of 2 boys and 2 girls, partnered to a fabulous man.
I'm an unintentional weasel feeder and I suck at proofreading.
