I have missed seeing your posts and also reading your blog lately. Strangely enough I was thinking about your blog this evening, that I hadn't see any posts in a long time (I read in a feed reader) and logged onto MDC to see this message, but when I went to visit the blog it was closed to the public as well. I have always appreciated your perspective as someone who may someday need to deal with those issues in my own family as we adopt. I am sad to see you go.

All the best for you and your family!

I think that's appropriate and, if she were here, I think she'd think it was pretty funny.

I'm so sad to hear this. In fact, I was looking for your blog the other day and saw it was private.

You have no idea who I am as I'm mainly a lurker. I just wanted to say that without you I'd never have found my son. I saw your link to Chances by Choice on the Adoption Resources sticky thread and the journey began from there (although we didn't utilize Chances for Choice but it allowed me to see what is possible). Because of you I fell in love with AHOPE and I found a precious, precious child who I'm absolutely in love with.

Good luck with your kids and thank you for making a difference!

I hope you would consider staying. Maybe just lurk for a while and post when you feel the need. I was just wondering about your the other day- and Desta. Your posts have helped me in many ways- learning to parent my Anna. I'm sorry to not have said that to you back when you were actively posting.

Christine. Unschooling mom to Hollis, Zobey, Zeda, Anna, and Wednesday. We have a lot invested in this whole family thing with marriage kids and a mortgage. You don't just give up on the whole deal when it gets difficult.

(lurker here...)

Good luck, DM!!! Know you will be missed. I think everyone understands how sometimes leaving is terribly sad but still needs to be.

Much love!
