Here is the story of my little one's birth. It might take longer to read the story than it actually took to birth her, but enjoy...

Thank you to all the MDC mamas that helped us bring her into the world as peacefully as possible!

Thanks so much for reading Cicely's birth story! It really was quite a journey. It almost seemed more emotional and spiritual than physical. I'm glad some people actually got through reading it! I knew it was waaaay long. But, I just couldn't seem to tell the story without telling about the process. But, at least it's split into parts so you can just read the birth part if you don't have a year of your life to spend reading the story.

Katje -- I wish a birth as easy, beautiful and joyous as Cicely's for you and your babe. May it be the birth of your dreams!

Thank you so much love2all. I would wish you a birth like this, too. It really was wonderful!

FYI -- My site was down and my birth story address got changed. I fixed it in the first posting and now it works again. If you missed the new address, it's http://homepage.mac.com/jakces/B7068...787/index.html

Thank you for reading the birth story of Cicely. Peace!

Wow, thank you so much for your comments about my daughter's birth! I just adored her labor and birth, despite all the stops and starts. It was so empowering and serene.

It's been about a year and half since she was born (Cicely blowing bubbles) and we're now preparing for the birth of our next baby this December. We learned a lot by my need for space during Cicely's birth and this time we've made arrangements to be as alone as possible.

I was just linking someone to Cicely's birth, and something struck me that I learned from this birth. I learned that Prodromal Labor is just a natural thing my body does. I had just as much Prodromal Labor with my youngest babe that I did for Cicely's birth, but this time, I expected it and figured I'd KNOW when I was actually in labor.

Trusting my body as much as I did, my last birth was the VERY first time I didn't declare I was in labor, until I actually was!
