Oh, I hope you do, Hayes, I would love to read the whole story! And is it true that you've got another little one on the way? If so, congratulations!!

Thank you thank you for posting that, it is a truly amazing story. You are very lucky to have such a supportive hubby.

I am newly pregnant and my dream is to birth at the Farm, too. I was worried about driving 2 hours while in labor (I live in Huntsville, so I'm closer than you), but after reading your story I feel more confident. I'm calling them tomorrow

Ina May was your attendant? How surreal....

I met her at a MWery conference last year and it was so odd to me - the women she talked about were all so fictitious in my mind. But you're one of 'em.

Congrats on a really cool birth and thanks for posting the story!

Ditto that! I feel like I am reading her book as I am reading your birth story. Amazing! Brought tears to my eyes. Especially since my baby was breech until about 38 weeks (chiro worked for me). Before he turned I wanted to drive to the farm myself, but didn't think it was a real option, lol!

Wow! You moved me to tears! My first DD was frank breech & I had a c-section, if I only knew then what I know now! My 2nd DD was a hospitol birth VBAC but still very medicated with interventions. I've found so much inspiration reading your story. I see so many options which I never knew exsisted! Thank you for sharing!

What an awesome story! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I would love to meet Ina May some day! How cool! More women need to read this so that they have the confidence to do the same themselves!

I loved your story! I also had a frank breech vaginal birth though mine was a surprise. How awesome the pushing was only 1/2 hour - I'm jealous of that. Also jealous that your little one didn't need any resuscitation after! I could really relate to your story though - especially how the urge to push goes away before the head is born - that was so stressful! Also, the meconium coming out like toothpaste - LOL - that's how my midwife discovered I had a breech little one. Thanks for sharing your awesome story!

Lovely, esp. to hear all your thoughts, doubts, worries... and your husbands confidence and remembering to think about your health too. It is interesting to read how you came to the final decision to birth with Ina May on The Farm.
