Oh, thank you soooo much for sharing that! I am sitting here crying. You wrote your birth story in such a way that I was right there with you, and could so feel the experience (well, sort of ). Congratulations, and yes, you've got a story for life with that one!

You know you have to name her Beatrice, right? Congrats! That's the best birth story I've read in quite some time.

WOw, it would be fun to post annoncements of her birth on Beatrice street or take her there and introduce her to some of the residents when she is older...

What an amazing experience!

What an incredible story. I laughed so hard (sorry!) but at the end, when you realized that you were giving birth and you felt this incredible peace and strength I wept.

Truly amazing! Thank you so much for sharing!

Yup, crying here too. What an amazing birth. And how profoundly you must have change the day (and the view of birth) of all the people who were around.

That is just great. Congratulations!

Oh Wow!

I had a birth on the side of the road, and so many aspects of your story had me laughing out loud and reading to my dh because they were so similar! Especially the bathtub scenes, and the part about your dh trying to get you out of the tub, and him talking to the ambulance dispatcher with you screaming in the background!

I'm glad that everything turned out okay!
