NIH Grants to study Ethical Implications of Genomic Research. Closes 16 Sept 2014.

An opportunity that might appeal to appropriately qualified readers to study the ethical issues surrounding the use of foreskin tissue obtained from men in Africa for HIV/AIDS research.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites Small Research Grant (R03) applications that propose to study the ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI) of human genome research. Applications should propose small, self-contained research projects, such as those that involve single investigators. Of particular interest are projects that propose normative or conceptual analyses, including focused legal, economic, philosophical, anthropological, or historical analyses of new or emerging issues.
We also have several threads over at tagged foreskin fibroblasts and ethics, which might be helpful in drafting a research proposal.
