I'm... actually kinda surprised to be here so soon! We weren't really "trying" so much as we were "not not-trying," figuring it might take us a while to actually conceive, but we were fine with the possibility at any point. One post-IUD cycle later, here I am!

EDD: 12/06/11

Name: Rebekkah

Age at conception/delivery: 28

What "number" child this is for you: our first!

How long it took you to conceive: I had my IUD removed in January. So... two months? O.O

Birth plans: Planning to have a natural homebirth. Ideally a waterbirth. =)

I like blurple!

And it's nice to meet everybody. =)

How long it took you to concieve: N/A, this is a surprise baby!

EDD: Dec 15

Name: Jenna

Age at conception/delivery: 34

What "number" child this is for you: #2

how long it took you to conceive: over a year and a half. One year ago I was pg with #2, lost at 11 weeks, pg in Oct loss at 5 weeks.

birth plans: I'd love a home water birth. we'll see if I can convince dh.

I like purple.

Happy to be here. I felt caution my past pg (which lasted less than a week from positive test to loss) but have a resolve to enjoy this one (as much as I can) and be positive. So far, so good.

Also, sagewinna SO happy to see you over here!

EDD: Dec. 4

Name: Kate

Age at conception/delivery: 31/32

Child #: 3

How long to conceive: 1 cycle

birth plans: would love a home birth, but CPMs aren't legal in my state which makes me sad. So hospital birth with a midwife for me.

Excited to complete our family, but feeling just miserable, which makes it hard to be happy about this. I HATE the first trimester! I'd go through labor a few more times (for the same baby!) if I could just avoid the tiredness and nausea that comes at first. I definitely don't have it as bad as some, but it is NOT fun!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

EDD: dec12-15 but my babies like to cook so I'm planning for late december

Age at conception/delivery: 23/24

Child #: 3 (+ 2 chemical pregnancies and 11 week m/c)

How long to conceive: 4th pp cycle, kind of a surprise since we weren't preventing but weren't actually TTC either.

birth plans: home birth

I'm tentatively joining you all, because I have had brown spotting for a week now, finally took a test yesterday and got three bfp's so definitely pregnant, but I had some bright red spotting today. Crossing my fingers that all is well and it goes away!!!!

Oh yeah and I like purple!!! lol

Name: Shelby

Age:35 (will be 36 when the new LO arrives)

#of children currently: 7 (bun in the oven will make #8)

I have 4 boys: 12, 8, 6, 2 and 3 girls: 11, 4, and 10mos, and 3 angels

LMP: 3/1/11 (but it was a looong cycle like 40days so im unsure of conception. EDD based on "normal" cycle is DEC 6, but I have gone as late as 42+1 so Im guessing for the middle of the month.

Married 14yrs to my college sweetheart, a SAH Wiccan, homeschooling, UC home-waterbirthing, extended breastfeeding, semi-crunchy, self study midwife mama!

I was an active member of May 2010's DDC and glad to be back again expecting a new babe! This is our last LO, so it is a bitter-sweet thing to be going through but I promised myself to be very zen this time around and am going UP (unassisted pregnancy, no doc/mw/"professional" prenatal care).

Got my BFP on April 7th, my BFF's b-day, which was a treat for her since she will be god-mama to this new babe. I have had zero preg symptoms, just "knew" I wasnt alone in my body one day :)

I look forward to getting to know all the new mamas! Blessed journey to all

Oh, fave color: RED! :)

Thinking of you Pickleopolous :(. Are you having other symptoms of miscarriage? I noticed you are just a few days ahead of me. From what I have read, ultrasound typically doesn't pick up a heart beat until 6.5-7 weeks, depending on the quality of the machine. The average for the heart to even start beating is 6 weeks 3 days. Just thought I would throw that out there to maybe give you a little hope if you aren't also experiencing other symptoms. I have a friend who recently went through a huge scare with this. Best of luck to you either way.
