Our daughter Anna was born still yesterday, August 21st, at 12:30 in the morning. Could someone please take me off of the due date list for December? I've just been lurking here but it is making me feel a little better to finish some of the things I had started in preparation for her birth. I hope to come back to mothering some day for her brother or sister but that won't be for a long time I think. I wish everyone here the best - even in our situation, I found birth to be awe-inspiring and becoming a mother has changed me forever. Those of you who are first-timers (like I was) are in for such a wonderful amazing gift...love to you all. --Whit

i am so sorry for your loss. please be gentle with yourself and allow plenty of time for healing.
5 years ago, i lost a daughter who was born prematurely at 26 weeks. though i was very reluctant, i attended weekly grief counseling sessions with my husband. still, to this day, I don’t think I could have gotten through that time without the support and care of our counselor. just something to consider.

I haven't been on in a while and noticed this today. I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our baby girl at 23 weeks on November 2, 2010. Her name was Ana. I know you are going through a really hard time and I just want to tell you that I understand what you are going through and I hope each day gets a little easier. **HUGS**
