These are packaged cold compresses we got in the hospital for postpartum use, still in the package. I didn't end up using any of the ones I took home. They're marvelous for right after birth, to soothe swollen tissues. They don't get as cold as conventional first-aid cold packs, I think, so you don't run as much risk of freezer-burn to delicate areas. Any homebirthers out there think you could use these?
