We just found out yesterday that my almost 5 year old daughter has brain cancer. I am not sure what type, the dr did say on the phone, but i didnt hear anything after the word "malignant". We meet with him tomorrow morning, to discuss treatment, and will be seeking western treatment, BUT i would really like to get some information about supportive alternative care. Anything.

Im assuming that she will be getting chemo and radiation, so anything that can help keep her body strong, and help get all of those toxins out of her body. I would like to get a healing stone necklace made for her (she had both a teething one and a healing one when she was a toddler) so any resources on where i could get one made would be great.

My thoughts are with you, your daughter, and your family during this difficult time.  In the days and weeks ahead, you will likely experience a whirlwind of information, options, and emotions.  I am happy to help you with any resources I can provide.  I often do phone or Skype consults for those out of my area on nutrition and supplementation during conventional cancer treatment.  If you are interested in that you can contact me privately, at

A healing stone necklace sounds perfect.  I do not have a specific resource, but searching the internet or cancer support blogs will point you in the right direction.

And, while it may not be the #1 priority, remember that emotional support for all of you is very important.  A counselor, therapist, or clergy member can help you to process your experiences and cope with stress.

Sending you many healing thoughts,
