After many years of trying to get my daughter some help, and much research on the internet, I see that my daughter has many (if not most) of the signs of Aspergers. How do I go about getting some help for her? Is there any suggestions you have to help her (and me!!!)
There is a lot you can do. Of course, I can't give you much info here, but I can point you in the right direction:
www.TACAnow.org is my favorite support group - has lots of info and many groups nationwide - maybe there's one near you. if there is, they have a one to one mentoring program that will team you up with an experienced parent who can help you get started on finding help in your area.
my Autism Book has a lot of good treatment advice and info on how to identify and treat numerous medical/nutritional issues that might be contributing to the Aspergers. There are also numerous books written by teens and young adults with Aspergers that may help you and your child understand it better.
these are places to start.
