Hi Dr. Sears,

I brought my 3 year old daughter into the Dr. today because of a bad stomach ache and general lethargy.  She tested positive for strep. They gave us amoxicilan but she is throwing up and I am unable to get it in her and then keep it down.  At what point do I need to take her back in if I can't get them down?  She has no fever but is absolutely miserable.

Thank you for your help,

You should contact your doctor about this. Maybe try a different antibiotic?  You can also do injected long acting penicillin - maybe your doctor will provide that
