Hello Dr Sears,

My daughter loves light tuna (we avoid albacore due to its supposed higher mercury level). How much is safe for her to consume? Also, as I am childbearing age, breastfeeding, and planning to have one more child, how much is safe for me to consume?

Thank you!

I don't know the actual safe amount, or if anyone does. In our house we have tuna about once a month. Technically, NO amount of mercury is safe. But we don't avoid it 100%, we just minimize it.
