HI Dr Bob,

I am writing because I am a bit worried. We were at the beach where the lots of areas with dried wood and our son got a few small splinters (even though we we super careful!) We sucsesfully removed all them(they were very superficial) but we think we might have missed one that went into the bottom of his foot. We can't feel it but the area is a tiny bump with a pink area with a small dot in the middle. Do we really need to worry about tetanus? He is 3 and doesn't have a tetanus vaccine.

Thanks Much!!

Sorry I missed this back when you posted it - not sure what happened with that.  But anyway, this does not sound like any significant tetanus risk.  Everything ok now?
