I have "The Vaccine Book" and it has been very helpful in making decisions for my 3-month old son. I plan to give him a DTaP combo shot soon and was hoping you could clear up my confusion about aluminum.
I live in Australia, and my choices are Infanrix Hexa and Pediacel. You recommend the Pediacel because it has less aluminum, which you said is 330 mg as opposed to Hexa's 850. Here's where I get confused: I looked at the official product info for both and it says
PEDIACEL:
1.5 mg aluminum phosphate
INFANRIX HEXA:
Adsorbed on aluminum hydroxide, hydrated 0.5 milligrams
Adsorbed on aluminum phosphate, .32 milligrams
It looks like Hexa has less aluminum. Can you explain? Many thanks!
