Time to have some babies. Doc just called. My protein was at 1100 and the threshhold is 300, so we’re leaving in an hour for induction. I’ll post stats and pictures once we’re all fed and settled.

I’m literally shaking I’m so excited.

Oh Kewpie!!!!!!!! Oh wow, what wonderful news!!!! 12 years in the making, and you finally are united with your children - big ones too! Great job growing them and so glad to hear about a good vaginal birth. Hope your recovery is swift and that you are already enjoying their sweet-smelling soft little fuzzy heads nuzzled up on your neck. Congratulations, my heart swells for you.

Kewpie, they're so cute!

I'm still waiting. Leaking, cramping, and back pain, but not one contraction yet. It's been almost 48 hours of leaking now. Of course, this is how it was last time, so I shouldn't be so impatient. But naturally I am anyway. winky.gif

Congrats, Kewpie!  It sounds like your birth was amazing and the babies were a good size!  They're adorable and I'm so happy for you.  love.gif

Sweet Bee, hang in there!  It sounds like you're so close!!

AFM, 37 weeks and 1 day today.  I had my home visit with my midwives and everything is a go.  I don't have any developments to speak of except for the fact that my uterus is measuring 38 cm (1 cm ahead of average for this time), I'm getting uncomfortable (isn't everybody?!) and I have the most horrid heartburn.  I can't believe it's almost time to have my baby!

Here's my 37-week pic.  Getting large!

I'm so glad you don't have heartburn!  I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.  It really seems to run my life lately.  I do understand the discomfort in bed - luckily, it will be all over soon.  And it's all worth it!  Congrats on reaching term!  orngbiggrin.gif

Anna - I've never heard of anyone who wasn't cured of heartburn the exact moment they gave birth. Besides seeing my babies, it was the thing that gave me most joy in the hours after my c-section. Almost 3 weeks later, I'm still totally giggly about the ability to eat anything, sleep in any position, and not have even the tiniest acidy feeling :)  I'm never going to eat another green apple again!

I know it hurts so bad, it really is terrible. But you're so close now!

39 weeks today. No baby. greensad.gif I only made it to 38 weeks last time. My husband kept telling me to be patient, but then he felt how strong she is and let her know she could come out now. winky.gif I think she's trying to push straight out of my belly rather than take the designated exit.

I did have stronger cramping and back pain last night but still no contractions. Leaking still, too, though it's off and on. confused.gif

My next appointment is on Wednesday. I thought I wouldn't make it that long, but it looks now like I probably will.

I am with you Sweet.bee with LO trying to push straight out of your belly...this kid just does not stop.  Also been noticing this weird consistent movement the past couple of nights.  I know its not hiccups...he's had them enough for me to easily distinguish them.  Its almost like he is dancing and trying to keep a beat.  Only last for a minute or two, but it is so odd.

Have been so uncomfortable and weird feeling all day.  Ready for a baby here.  Beyond ready...and I still technically have two and a half weeks.  I don't remember being this uncomfortable last time!!

What wonderful news to wake up to Sweetbee! Welcome to the world, Lyra ("lee-rah" or "lai-rah"?)!!!

And what a dramatic birth story, my GOODNESS. Well, considering your supersquirmer was almost born in the cab, I suppose you were prepared that it might happen this way. What an amazing experience for your husband to be your full and only birth partner. If you feel like sharing, I would love to hear a little bit more about how you felt about it all - in the moment and now afterwards.

I'm so relieved that your son wasn't scared to see the blood. "Red" ha ha! Leave it to a little man to be straight forward and logical about it.

Lyra like "lie". orngtongue.gif

I am shocked that the labor went by so quickly. My first was just over 2 hours, so I knew it was likely to be fast again. Just not over twice as fast! But this is precisely the reason we decided on a home birth.

Overall, I'm glad it was fast because those contractions hurt. When my husband said, "her head is coming out", it was crazy, but he is always so calm and helped me into the bathtub. It was a good thing, too, because then I had to push, and she slipped out all in one.

I'm having a lot of contractions now as my uterus goes down, and they are quite strong. I didn't have any last time. They're especially strong when she drinks, and she is feeding constantly. She drank from both sides in the first hour after birth, and she knew instantly what to do. The midwives say she is a really strong baby. smile.gif

Also, she gained weight already on the 2nd day! This is despite a slow day 1: all of the amniotic fluid she spit up, a really full diaper, and sleeping most of the day. She made up for it yesterday with one feeding after another.

Awh, thanks!  I'm starting to feel it though... I hope it's going to be soon.  At my appointment yesterday, my midwife said she could feel the baby's head engaged in my pelvis so at least that's good.  My DD came on her due date by herself so I thought I would have this one at least a couple days early, but now I'm wondering if I'll pass my due date.  We'll see, I guess! :)

So I'll be 40 weeks tomorrow and people are starting to annoy me!  Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday when I take my DD to her activities, I've got everyone making comments about me "still being here" and such.  Can't people quit stressing me out and let me gestate in peace?!

To make matters worse, my DD came on her due date (by herself) after me going into labor 2 days before she was born.  So at this time in my last pregnancy I was in labor... and I'm not now, which is sort of causing mental issues for me.  If you're the praying type, please keep me in your prayers and pray that I maintain my sanity and peace about Baby coming whenever he or she is done developing.

I'll keep you all posted.  love.gif
