On top of feeling all day nausea and fatigue, I now have a nasty cold.  Lots of sinus pressure and congestion, slightly sore throat and cough.  This is day 3 and it seems worse every day.  I am really wanting to take something to alleviate symptoms, but what can I take while pregnant??  I did just take an emergen-c.  And I try to use the neti pot, but I am so congested it isn't even flowing well.   Any ideas??  Please?!?!  I am so miserable!!

Me too!  Colds while pregnant are the worst!  I take Tylenol for pain and then just use saline spray to loosen the mucous, then blow my nose and repeat.  There's no "dose" so you can use it as often as you need to until your nose clears out a bit.

My nurse recently told me that I could take sudafed, which they usually recommend only after the first trimester, but selectively for severe symptoms in the first trimester is okay.

Get lots of rest and feel better soon!  :(

I use Hylands cold and flu remedy or Zicam col remedy. Both homeopathic. I also take raw garlic,  just chop it up and swallow it whole like pills, a few cloves a day. Its a natural antibiotic. Simmeig peppermint oil on teh stove seems to help my congestion.

Homeopathy of course...http://www.truestarhealth.com/Notes/2213002.html

Kali Bich (if the nasal stuff is sticky and/or you have sinus pressure) or Arsenicum (only if discharges are burning) sound like they might be helpful.

Have you tried Afrin nasal spray? You can buy it over the counter and use it for up to 3 days and it works great on sinuses! After 3 days you have to stop because it can worsen your symptoms. Also a Z pack is safe if you go to the Dr.
