I think you need to find a balance between comfort and professionalism. Scrubs can look so sloppy. The tops are untucked, the hems are too long. You also have to be careful because you wouldn't want them too look too cutesy. You know the ones with the fun cartoon patterns and such.

I wear scrub pants (black) b/c they are cheap, comfy, stain-resistant, and not something I would be tempted to wear at home to cross the home/hospital germ barrier. I wear a t-shirt with my business logo on it - large, so it's obvious that I am not medical staff. I also wear very plain, comfy tennis shoes that I do not wear in my home.
