I am a trained midwife currently taking a (longer) break due to my own family commitments (homeschooling etc) but also due to the fact that I am currently living in a country where it's not possible for me to work as a midwife...
We will be here for a while (5-10 years possibly) due to my husband's job and while I can teach childbirth education classes privately and offer labor support etc...I'd like to take advantage of this 'down' time to increase my knowledge and possibly widen my scope of practice...
What are you favorite online resources that you benefit from? Journals/magazines?
What online classes do you consider beneficial and feel would help you as a midwife?
Any great online webinars? Podcasts?
Should I look into becoming an IBCLE or get more education in areas such as fertility awareness/infertility?
Basically I'm looking for ways to stay involved and learn more/get certified in other areas while midwifery is on hold...
Looking forward to read lot of ideas...
