I am fortunate to be in a community where many women prefer to treat the body with respect, and support it rather than override it with medicines for most things. When miscarriage happens, I offer expectant management as well as medical options. For those who choose expectant management, I would like to give them a sheet with information on what sensations to expect, emotions, and when they should contact their midwife because something is out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, this sort of information has been remarkably hard to come by. I can find various sheet with information on medical management and what to expect, but nothing on expectant management. I would be so grateful if someone could direct me toward something of the sort I am looking for. Thank you!
I would also suggest talking to other midwives in your area to see if they have any handouts or Informed Consent documents that they use.
