and asked me the term that health care pract. use for women of advanced maternal age. She said she was looking for the latin name /word that her md used with her that made her feel ancient :(. She cannot remember and the phrase/title is on the outskirts of my vague memory, lol. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance, ladies :).

If they're a first time mom over 35 the notes will say "elderly primagravida".

I worked as a nurse for 10 years and a midwife for another 12.  The most that might be written is "AMA" advanced maternal age.  Nowhere would you see "elderly primigravida".

the term used is often "elderly gravida"-----a term used when I was pregnant with my second and third and I asked the doctor to cross it out and never use those words again!  I simply put the age---end of story.
