Hi, I was wondering if I could ask a quick question about courtesy. I had my first meeting with a local midwife about three weeks ago, as we parted she assured me she would get back to me in about a week with some details about my insurance. I am sure she is busy, I sent her one quick email about 10 days ago, just mentioning we are still excitedly awaiting more details. I am just hoping for a " things are crazy "response or something to let me know that she is still interested in working with us. I still haven't heard from her. It's not anything urgent, so my question would be am I being irritating? What is the proper etiquette?

It may just be how your midwife is. I know several wonderful midwives who are just plain disorganized and difficult to get a hold of. I would bring it up at your next prenatal again. I try to get back to people with in a few days but sometimes things get lost in the shuffle. Good luck.
