So the situation currently is that we are living in Japan with an EDD of May 23.  We are planning to head back to Boston in Spring, not certain about which

month that would be at this point but certainly by April, most likely by February or March.

I would like a doula at the birth but I will not be back in Boston before February or March at the earliest.  When do clients normally book a doula?  And how

should I go about finding one if I am still in Japan?  I was thinking the interviewing on skype would be a possibility but I am not sure how many doulas would

be willing to take a client through a skype appointment?

Thanks for any advise,

Mommy to E born 12/31/2005, Luke born still 03/09/2005 and 2 more angels

And a new one on the way EDD May 16, 2013

Currently in Tokyo, Japan exploring cultural boundaries and exposing DD to Japanese!

Welcome to MDC and congratulations on your pregnancy, Jacqueline! You may want to post in the Massachusetts tribal area in order to get input from local members. I hope you find a doula that you really click with.
