i'm wondering if any of you have taken any of these certifications/trainings with BAI (birth arts international)?:
-breastfeeding educator certification
-nutrition for doulas
-anatomy for doulas
-reflexology for doulas
if so, i'd love to hear more about your experience!
doula. folk herbalist. activist. forest lover. autoimmune. animist. spoonie. library worker. and more...
I haven't, but I've heard good things about Birth Arts. Even as a midwife, I would love to do one of their courses for fun.
Midwife (CPM, LDM) and homeschooling mama to:
14yo ds 11yo dd 9yo ds and 7yo ds and 2yo ds
I was just saying on another board, I'm going for Momdoulary Method doula and parent coach certification, because they include the 6 certifications in one, and give you the Mentor, all the business tools, and such a serious sense of support. Everyone I meet from there has a strong sense of connectedness. Plus in the 20 weeks of class they dive really heavily into everything from nutrition to loss to creating community building. It feels so comprehensive. I know other people complain that the training is long, but me, I like that idea. I also like that I can build strong relationships through it. But everyone has different reasons for diffferent choices.
