how to help a depressed expectant mother

Ive recently became a member of DONA and dont start my training till mid July. In preparation to get my certification I have acquired 2 expectant mothers already. I am super excited to be a doula but I have no formal training yet and one of my mothers seems to have a pressing issue and I need your advice. Shes really depressed because she no on by her side. Shes all alone and all she really has is me to lean on now. How do I treat this situation? Ive been keeping in constant contact with her, asking her how she doing and making small talk. Would you recommend that I go to her doctor visits with her? Any advice would be great!!

That sounds really sweet of you. She is going to need a larger network beyond you. Can you help her get involved with a mops group or something similar?
