this helps me too, thank you.  My amnio is in 8 days.

I'm still waiting on my blood work and official ratio too.  I was told it would take 10 days but it's annoying as I know the other blood work I had done at the same time has already been posted to my electronic chart.  There's no reason for it to take so long!

Kayak - Good luck with your scan next week.

Frannie - FWIW, if my numbers were elevated I would have elected to have an amnio.  I like to have all of my information on hand, no matter what.  Here's hoping that you'll get good news and the amnio will put your fears to rest.  Do you get to find out the results the same day?

Good luck Frannie.  With our 2.3, we're just waiting on bloodwork to decide if we need to consider an amnio.

I got my NT yesterday, 1.4, at 12wk 1day, so I am really relieved.  So happy to have some pictures where it actually looks like I've got a human growing in there!  Good luck to everyone!

Oh!  I'm sorry you've been so worried, Hildare.  Good luck and let us know what happens.  At least you'll have some answers soon.

My now 3 y.o. DD had a 6mm measurement-- I was told to terminate the pregnancy without further testing.  I didn't, and she turned out to be ok, which statistically was a slim chance.  We did have a CVS done and the chromosomes were normal, but some problems are not going to show up with the CVS.  I know a lady who had a 7 mm measurement on her baby and a normal CVS, but her baby was born still, very premature, and severely deformed.  I would NOT worry about any measurement under 2.5 ... it's the high numbers (especially above 4.5) that carry a significant statistical risk.

We just got our blood work results back, and the numbers are very very encouraging.  No further testing needed!

Whew!
