Ok, so I didnt find out with my last one, and Im doing it this time, so I'm pretty excited. I know its getting close to time for a lot of ladies (and some have even already found out!) so I thought Id start a guessing thread. With DD I just had this feeling it was a girl the whole time, so Im interested to see if Im right this time. Place your guess along with your appointment (or, if you are still far off, you can just put "week 20" or "week 17" and then leave a space blank for you to come back and edit after you know! The, tell us a little about you situation: will you be disapointed if your guess is wrong? What does your spouse (if you have one) want it to be?

Guess: Boy
Appointment: 8/24
Its a BOY!!!!
DH really wants a boy. I dont care. I love the idea of two little girls close in age, but the idea of a boy is nice too because I have four sisters and only one brother and DH is the only boy in his family. I dont plan to circ, but if this is a boy Ill def. have more to learn in that department smile.gif

Your turn!

For all you ladies who arent finding out, that's awesome! I know other people talking about finding out and asking you when you are going to find out can get really annoying, so if you want you can just pop in and tell us why you arent finding out and you guess of what sex the baby is smile.gif

Yippee!!! Im twop for two on guessing our babies sex!

Everyone in my family thinks it is a boy, including DP.  I don't have a preference either way (neither does DP), but I just can't wait until I find out!

Well, Dh really, really wants to know. Ours are really close together, so we are absolutely going reuse all of DDs clothes if this one is a girl. We will reuse a lot of clothes even if its a boy, but basically if this is a girl we can tell family not to buy anything. Plus, DH and I could not agree on a boy name last time and it caused a lot of arguments and resentment and now we both know that if its a boy we need to really really work to come up with a name. If its a girl, we can just stop arguing about it.

Guess: girl

Appointment: ?

It's a: !

I cancelled my NT US/Quad last week. They were going to do the Amnio tihis coming week. From reading the thread on that and my own personal craziness and worry, I am so releived now not to go that route. I will be haveing a US around 20 weeks like most. I really need to be as laid back and relaxed now. I've worried way too much. Stress needs to get in check quick!

I have DD who is 14! A freshman cheerleaderFIREdevil.gif and my mini-me. DS1 is 6 yrs and DS2 is 4yrs.

My DH has said from day one that this one is a girl. I just "know" it'g a girl too.  So, its just common knowledge that we are expecting a girl + all my gifts so far have been pink. The big SHOCKER will be if it's actually a boy!

Truly, just so excited and joyful that I am having another baby when for years it was a given that we were "done".

Apt: No official anatomy scan scheduled yet, but I have an apt on 8/29 and my dr will probably try to see, he tried to see at my last apt at only 13 weeks!

I feel like it's a boy. Symptom wise I'm following more like I did with DS than DD (including my face looking like I belong in middle school ::SIGH::) BUT... DH and I both had dreams it was a girl so... who knows?! My mom and future SIL don't want me to find out but I don't think I can wait....

We didn't find out w DD and I've been kinda wanting a peek this whole pregnancy. DH said for the first time today that he's maybe kinda into the idea, so... we may do it!! Eeek!

We don't really want to do all the measurement stuff, etc., and worry about whether this baby has this or that wrong with him/her. We just wanna know the gender. (Of course, if something is obviously wrong, we'd expect them to tell us, but we're not into looking for anything.) Does anyone know if this kind of u/s is possible?

Guess: Girl
Appointment: ?? (15 weeks now)

We are not going to find out. DH sort of wants to, but my sense is we are expecting a baby not a girl or a boy - I don't want to change my expectations and anticipations to be gender specific because it just doesn't seem important. This is our first, and neither of our moms found out for any of their pregnancies. I do not have ANY guess or intuition at all, for a few weeks lots of baby boy dreams, but I've also had baby girl dreams and boy/girl twin dreams recently.

The main problem with not finding out seems to be choosing names - we are really stumped on girls names and I think both of us secretly would be relieved to get a boy this time just to escape the struggle of agreeing on a girl's name since we love our boy name choices so much!

Sure, this is exactly what 3d imaging places do. They arent medical specialists, so they arent looking for anything like that, they are only looking for cute pictures and gender.

I'll play!!!

Guess: BOY

Appointment: Tuesday October 4th

It's a: !

We have a 2.5 year old DD. I thought she was a boy, too, ha! So we'll see if I'm actually right this time. I thought I might want to wait to find out the gender, but I really just don't think I'm going to have the patience to wait it out. Plus if it's another girl, I'm going to want to dig her old clothes out of the garage and get them picked through and cleaned up before baby comes (not that it would take me THAT long, but it's my most compelling excuse to find out the gender as of yet...)

Guess:   Boy

Appointment:  Not yet scheduled, but around 20 weeks (sometime in September)  (I'm 13 weeks right now)

DH wants to know gender, I was going to go for no ultrasounds this pg, but  i'm on board with one, because i'd like to know the gender too now!

We cannot find a boy name for the life of us, so part of me wants it to be a girl just so we have options for names (not that we've agreed on one yet, but we at least have ones we like,  with boy names- nothing sounds good to us!!)   If it's a boy, I plan to keep him intact, although DH and I have yet to agree on that, so if it's a boy we have a lot of research to do- for staying intact and for finding a name!!   I think it's a boy bc this topic has actually come up in conversation- and with #1 we never even thought/talked about it!  who knows!

With #1 I thought she was a boy, and when the ultrasound showed girl I was in disbelief, and watched the video over and over to convince myself. I was thrilled. :)

Appointment: Early September.

We really don't care, but lately I've been wanting a boy just to stop arguing over girl names. I finally told DH we've got to agree on 2 girl names before the gender check. I don't want to be disappointed with a girl just because we're too stubborn to agree on a name.

Guess:  eek, I don't know.   I come from a family of girls, how can there be a boy in there?  And that seems to be everyone's guess, a boy.

Appt:  none so far.  I am leaving the choice to find out to DH, and right now he is leaning towards NOT finding out.

Guess: Boy. I've actually been calling "it" a he the whole pregnancy.
Appointment: Found on Thurs. the 11th.

It's a: BOY!

I really wanted a third boy. I have two sons already, 5 and 3. I'm not a very "girly girl" and occasionally watch a few of my friends daughters. I am absolutely clueless as to what to do with them and how to entertain them. redface.gif I'm sure it would be different than my own, though. DH really wanted a girl, though. He's happy of course. He's already talking about baby #4. nut.gif

Guess: Girl?

Appt: Late September or First of October

It's a BOY!

I'm going with girl mostly based on all my dreams and such post-DS. I actually had a dream the night he was born that I had a little girl and woke up quite concerned that I had gotten it all wrong with DS. LOL. However, I knew DS was a boy from the moment of conception, and dreams about him were very different. Plus, my dreams about having a girl were very different than I had always imagined my family, which was two boys then a little girl. DH also thinks/wants girl. While I'm going with girl, I've actually had no inclinations since I got pregnant so I'm a little thrown by that considering my dreams and such for the past 27 months.

Appt: Sep 12

It's a _____!

We were trying for a girl, so it would be nice to see if our experiment worked, but it would also be a lot of fun to watch 3 little boys get into mischief together.  We also already have the perfect girl name picked out, so hopefully we'll know in Sep whether or not we need to work on a boy name (although we probably will anyway - I've known people who were told one thing, and when babe was born, they had a big surprise).

It's a: BOY!!!!!!

I haven't decided if we are going to find out or not. We didn't with my son, so, we shall see. I'm not a huge fan of giving in to hunches, because I don't like to build up any type of expectations that could lead to disappointment (for no reason other than the build up). I have no preference. A boy would be great for my son, and it would be nice to have a girl. This is our last. I have felt it was a girl from the beginning, because of little differences in my two pregnancies, and from when I should have ovulated and when I conceived. It had to be days apart.

Appointment: Sept. 23

It's a: ..............

Oh my goodness. It's so cool to hear your news already! Was referring to hb earlier and how sometimes high or low can indicate a gender. I know, I know..... may get a hopeful wishing balloon popped. That's ok. But, it would be fun for me to see if there is a correlation. I might have some of that air replaced. love.gif  I lean towards spicy foods, bought something pink already- just couldn't resist, and it has high hb. Yesterday my dh says, why are you being so sweet? I said, it's my nature honey. LOL. I have not been showing that whatsoever for awhile. Are girl pregnancies meanness-makers? I noticed the energy is really picking up now. So loving it!

Last hb was 179  How about yours?

It's really a total guess on my part but this pregnancy feel much like mine with DD so that seems like it might mean another girl... or not.  I just asked, DD thinks girl.  DH thinks boy.  We'll see in a few weeks or so!
