Not that it matters much but my midwife's calculations were different than mine and my new EDD is March 23rd.

You can remove me, too.  After low, but doubling betas last week, I was down to zero this morning.  This makes 3 miscarriages in 18 months.  I may be done.  :(

Name: 8marie

*EDD: March 18th, 2012

*Age/ age when the baby will be born: 35/36

*Location: Midwest

*How long it took you to get your BFP: TWO YEARS and TWO MONTHS

*What number child is this for you:  3

*Family: DH 34  DD 6  DS 4

*Birth plans/preferences: Natural Hospital Birth

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share: I've been lurking, but I need support so here I am!  I have been having cramping and some bleeding last night/today.  My hCG levels were quite high so my OB thinks it is just normal bleeding/cramping.  Doesn't make me feel anymore secure.  We were in an infertility testing cycle when I got pregnant, so I've been poked and prodded a lot.  We also know (via ultrasound) that I naturally ovulated 2 eggs this month so I could be carrying twins....

Congrats finsmom!!

Tantylynn - I'm off and on with the "am I REALLY pregnant" thoughts! I have peed on one stick a day and yep, still two lines! My hunger is increased, BMs are different, I'm thirsty all the time, and a little dizzy getting up form sitting. If I didn't have pee sticks to tell me otherwise, I'm sure I could pass those symptoms off for something else. No ultrasound for me, except *maybe* for gender (or for any suspected issues if they come up). My first appointment is at 11 weeks...seems SO far away.

Haha oh my goodness I've also been POAS everyday and your symptoms sound identical to mine!! 11 weeks does sound far away but I'm sure it'll fly by. I'm not sure why I'm having week 6 and week 8 scans? Maybe b/c of PCOS...

 I figure why not use the ICs to keep seeing those two lines. Even though I put the new one right next to the clearly positive old ones, I still get excited each time the line appears. Are you having scans with an OB? My MWs don't recommend any routine ultrasounds, so just a different protocol for prenatal care I would guess?

As far as I know, PCOS does not mean you need extra US.  I have PCOS too, and I'll be having an 8wk US, which is standard for everyone at the fertility clinic, then after that just whatever the midwife thinks is necessary.

11 weeks DOES sound so so far away. I've been POAS, but the last one was *slightly* lighter than the day before, and DH immediately told me I need to stop POAS. He's probably right.

*Thoughts / anything else you you would like to share:

Errr...so it looks like from others responses that BFP has something to do with how long we were trying to get pregnant before it happened...? Am I right?

Well, if thats the case then this time it was the first month of trying. We charted and were using the methods from "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" to both

prevent pregnancy before and to get pregnant now. I am surprised at how quickly that worked this time, since last time it took over 1.5 yrs to conceive! Okay,

I'm getting off my ranting soapbox now.

I POAS daily until 19DPO. After that I decided I'll just do it when I'm needing some reassurance. Most days my sore boobs give me all the reassurance I need LOL but the other day I started panicking thinking I didn't feel PG anymore. I POAS and the BFP was instantaneous and much darker than the control, such a relief! I've also stopped temping finally, I did it till 20DPO. I might do it occasionally if I happen to wake up at the right time anyway though.
