Against better judgement, I did the glucose tolerance test yesterday morning. I am 30 weeks pregnant.

I felt fine all day yesterday.

This morning, I woke up nauseated. I have also had some chest tightness and trouble catching my breath. I just feel "off." It feels very similar to how I felt when I struggled with anxiety for a brief period about a year and a half ago. I also have noticed I feel this way whenever I take certain antihistamines. My blood sugar is fine (101 about an hour after oatmeal and a banana) and my blood pressure is fine (115/75).

This is my fourth baby and my fourth time taking the GTT, and I didn't have these symptoms in the past. I have never tested "positive" for Gestational Diabetes.

Is it possible that the "Glucola" has just thrown my system off? I have an appointment with my OB/GYN tomorrow afternoon, but was hoping to get some encouragement/advice today.

I'd get checked out, but the glucola could have thrown you off. How long was the test? I had a 1 hour test with 50 g glucose with my daughter, and while it wasn't fun, I didn't react too badly. This time, I had a 2 hour (they changed guidelines) with 75 g glucose, and I was sick as a dog. I was having to do all that I could to hold it down, I was feeling very faint, I could have anyone near me because I felt claustrophobic, etc. I felt better after eating a meal with protein, but still felt crappy that day. Luckily, I passed even though I was afraid I wouldn't because of the reaction.
