I am due April 29th, so I am about 18.5 weeks, and have not really felt movement yet.  I know I am still in the normal window, but I felt my first 3 between 16-18 weeks, regularly.  Anyone else have a big difference between pregnancies in movement?  Or just felt it late?

Any chance you have an anterior placenta? That can cause you to not feel things until much later.

No anterior placenta....i heard heartbeat recently, so am not panicked, but just starting to question and worry a bit, as my others wereearly movers.

Sorry to thread crash, but I am in a similar position.  I am 20 weeks and have barely felt a thing!  I do feel to occasional 'movement' in my belly that almost feels like a twitch or muscle spasm, but it is very subtle and doesn't happen often.  When it does happen, I'm not even sure it's the baby and not just gas.  This is my first pregnancy so I know it can be difficult to tell at first but I'm starting to get worried and I don't see me obgyn again until December 8th!

It's really frustrating waiting for the little bean to move and not even knowing if it's him/her!

My anatomy scan in the 16th and I am anxious to see that everything is okay.  I have felt a couple things I wondered if it was gas or baby....but not what I expected by now, based on my last 3! Maybe it just means this one will be a bit calmer. ;)

I was feeling random little flutters, nothing regular until 19 weeks when I finally started feeling unmistakeable thumps and movement from the outside and this was later than any of my other pregnancies from what I recall. It did seem like all of a sudden I was feeling baby kicking and rolling. I thought the reason might be an anterior placenta, but mine is left-lateral and partly in front and part in back...that is why I was only feeling movement for awhile on the right side!

Well it seems all I needed to do was post about it on MDC and kick back.  Was just laying here with 2 sick toddlers on me, me with a wicked head cold, and after no definite movement from baby, suddenly I got 4-5 kicks in a row I could even feel with my hand on the outside.  Thank you all for curing me. ;)

i feel this! i felt my son clearly and constantly at 18 weeks. at 19 with this one barely a thing. so disappointing. but every prenatal visit looks great. i did notice on the ultrasounds, my midwife has one in the office, that this baby is much calmer then my son was. maybe its just different babies, but it freaks me a bit too.

Finally last night at 21 weeks baby was so active he/she kept me up!  Those little twitches and bubbles I had only been feeling hints of before have turned into full fledged kicks. joy.gif

I kept feeling her from about 14 weeks. But nothing constant I would go days without feeling a thing. Now at 21 weeks it's hard to NOT notice the movement. I hope you feel more movement soon!
