Needs Met!

FIN #5, AZ

Please contact Thursday Girl if you have something for this family.

What is your family situation?
I'm a single mom, working as many hours as I can get. This usually works out to part time 2-4 days a week. I am at the mercy of my current job, I take what I can get. I lost my job 3 years ago and have been unable to find something full time that pays as well with hours that allow me to still be available for my child. My sons father is not around and there is no child support. My family is not supportive. It's a very simple life of just my son and myself these days.
Winter is our low cost season because the temps are cooler and I do not need to run the air conditioner 24/7. This is when I play 'catch up' on all the other bills that have been shuffled around.
My son is great about doing with out. He is getting older and just seems to go with daily life. My son is also super-duper great about seeking out activities that have scholarships instead of fees. He has been able to do so much this year just by switching locations or taking a slightly different activity. I can not say enough about my son. He should not have to accommodate our financial situation but he does in so many ways.
We live a warm climate so clothes are not a need. We basically can wear summer clothes 10 months out of the year. The other 2 months we just add a sweater or something and are good to go.
Thanks to everyone who makes this happen. While we are a FIN, I do everything I can to help other FIN's as well.

Any allergies or sensitivities in the family? (e.g. cat, dog, smoke) DS has asthma, please no smoke or cat. Dog is ok as long as there is not a ton of shedding.
Which holiday(s) does your family celebrate? Christmas, (non religious please!)

Please list up to 2 items per person in your family and up to 2 items for your family as a whole below. (If you are requesting gift cards, please specify local or online stores that, if money is available, gift cards can be provided that you can conveniently use.)

Of the items requested below, please prioritize the top 3 overall needs of your family (this can not include direct financial help such as bills paid):
*Grocery store gift card
*Things for DS
*Books or Barnes & Noble card
