I had a repeat csection on April 2nd. It seemed like to me that this time the recovery was a bit harder. With my first, I didn't need the percocet pain killer past a week. This one it was 2 weeks. I also had worse gas pains as well. The thing that was better was PP bleeding, as I hardly bled at all.

Well, thanks for sharing because I may be in that same situation in the future. I have had a c-section and a myomectomy so I know I can only have a c-section next time around. Poor you though, I hate the gas pain. I bet you are glad it's over and you can focus on your new member of your family. Congrats!!

My second C-section recovery was a bit longer/harder than the first. I also had my tubes tied. With my first section, I did not need any pain meds once I got home. After my second, I needed the 800 mg Motrin as needed for the first two weeks after I got home. I had a weird tearing pain on my right side, specifically. I'm guessing it was nerve pain? As I'm sure you know, they have to cut through scar tissue from the first section. That  will cause more discomfort with the recovery. My second incision, which was in the same exact place as the first, was made a little longer. No gas pain for me. I had staples the second time. When those were removed, they applied Steri-Strips, just in case. Ugh. I had an allergic reaction to the Benzoin. It was awful. My skin was sooo red. Then it peeled. Just awful.

Congrats on the new baby!

My second recovery was a bit harder too I think. I put it down to having a toddler to look after instead of just a newborn.
