DS is nearly 3. I'm ready to look at the data now. Maybe someone here can help me understand what happened. I have the copy of my records, though they are difficult to read. I think what I'm seeing is that I was dilated to a 7 or 8, 90% and at 0. I remember something about his head being tilted and getting stuck, but I haven't come across that in the notes yet, or I couldn't read it.

I was induced at 42 weeks the night of August 3. Those numbers above were from August 5 11 am. At 11:30 I was admitted into the OR.

ETA: UC q 2 - 4 min x 60-120s
I think that's the contractions? That was at 6am. At which time I was dilated 7-8, 100% and at 0?

Any ideas what I should look for or what would be relevant?

Loving mama to Aden (8/5/2010) and DSD (15).

I would post this in the generic birth and beyond to try to get some more answers.

Uterine contractions every 2-4 minutes lasting 60-120 seconds.

If you want to transcribe exactly what the rest of it says, I can probably help you decipher it.

Fledgling midwife on hiatus, Wife to B, mama to C (c/s ribboncesarean.gif 12/04) and S hbac.gif (12/07), angel3.gif m/c (3/12) and expecting another bean 6/13 stork-suprise.gif.

I might have sorta figured this out. I was up late last night and found where the handwritten notes were transcribed. Then I did some googling today (when I should've been working winky.gif ). I think my contractions stalled because his head was tilted and he got stuck. A little more reading tells me that there should've been other things tried rather than just waiting to see if he would come unstuck. DP says he remembers them physically trying to un-wedge his head, but I don't remember that. He doesn't remember anyone trying to get me to walk around more. At some point on Aug 5 the handwritten notes say Asynclitic, but that isn't transcribed anywhere, just failure to progress angry.gif

This isn't everything obviously, just some facts I picked out.

I was given cervidil very late night on the 23rd.
8/4 1230pm dilated to 3 station -1; q 2-5-5; dur 80-120
coupling contractions afternoon of the 4th
8/4 8pm dilated to 5; contraction freq 4-5; dur 80-100
8/4 1030am bloody show
8/4 1130pm pitocin started 2u
8/4 midnight d to 6 station 0; q 5-7min; dur 60
8/5 430am notes say 'anticipating 2nd stage'
8/5 6am d to 7 station 0; q 3-5; dur 60; 9 pitocin
8/5 11am dilated to 7; cont q 2-4; dur 60; 18 pitocin
