I feel like this is somewhat similar to the other poster's 5 year-old, but maybe a little different? Guess we have been lucky and have only had the random red tip while DS was still in diapers, so I feel like I didn't have to think about his penis at all. smile.gif

Anyways, yesterday I noticed he kept on grabbing himself and when he did it this morning he told me it was itchy. Then it got to the point that he was whining, so I have him playing in a warm bath. Right when he got in I saw white stuff coming out. How do I know if it's smegma or an infection? I have the same concerns about bringing him to the doc as other poster. However we just switched practices and at DS's 5 year check up, this was the first doc that didn't try to retract or even discuss penis. Nice change bc it's not like we discuss my daughter's labia!

I will say that he went 3 days without a shower and was a bit stinky. Could it just be irritation from that? Thanks!

Itching wouldnt concern me that much. I would do a bath and rinse well with plain water. If more things started to show up then I would look into yeast.
