Light green discharge from baby's ear

My daughter, 15 months developed a discharge from her ear. Is this an infection? Anything natural to do before running to the doctor?

She is not pulling her ear or crying.

Could be an infection caused by a foreign body. We often have small children brought to ED where the first sign they had stuck something in their nose or ear was discharge or a foul smell.

It could also just be a straight forward ear infection but I would strongly caution you against putting anything into a discharging ear until someone has confirmed that the ear drum is intact.
