My DD is almost 2 1/2. Several months ago she started taking off her diaper after she wet, and she asked to use the potty like her big sister. Encouraged by her readiness, we started training. She did great as long as she could go naked. We were rewarding her with a points chart, and when she started having accidents we switched to M&Ms. That helped initially, but now, a month later, I feel like we are no further in the process. She will pee within minutes if I put undies on her. She just won't keep anything dry! And we do have to leave the house sometimes! Yesterday and today, she peed several times on the floor. Suddenly there are more "accidents" than successes, and I'm sick of it. Should I throw in the towel and go back to diapers? If I do that, will it be harder when she does train?

No diapers. I would stay on top of her...keep asking her "do you need to pee" Making her go to the potty even. I know that some times it just takes more work.

You could try giving her a choice. You can be big like your sister and not wear a diaper BUT if you go in your undies ONE time, you have to wear a diaper for (reasonable period of time).

Dd3 worried me because she likes to do things to get attention, and I thought the whole potty thing would be a struggle. I was hoping giving her some control over the whole.thing would help,so we switched to pullups. I didn't act like they were different than diapers, except that I would hand her one and tell her to go change. Then, I added, "go potty and change your pullup". Then she wanted no dd2, so I told her when she was dry for one week we could try it. She was, and we'vs had zero problems.
