I love Eliza Pearl! Pearls are so amazing. I was born in April and my sister in June. She's your stereotypical "I want a huge diamond before I would ever get married" kind of girl and would have loved having April diamonds for her birthstone. I think diamonds are totally overrated and don't have any, but I love how unique each pearl is. June's birthstone is pearls. My mom used to give us little necklaces or rings with knock off diamonds and pearls and we'd always swap.

Coin pearls are my favorite...it's like the oyster was thinking he would make something just a little different. Eliza Pearl is a great name, IMO! It's even better that it's so special to your hubs.

I love Gem names! Eliza Pearl is beautiful smile.gif

Our dog has a gem name. And I *love* Opal for a name but I doubt we'd ever use it...

How common is Rylan in your circles? It's in the 170s but that's more common than most of the names I like. I think my DH would like it.

I know one Rylan who is about 18 months old. But that's it! It's a cute name that you don't hear every day - although I'm sure it gets mistaken for Ryan a lot.

170s is a reference to the social security lists of baby names. The name Rylan peaked at 179 in popularity in the 2000s. I have a Ciara but I didn't think of all the other spellings so there seems to be a ton of them. Killian hasn't bumped into any others. I was one of 3 Megans in my school, and we had one class per grade so I had 7 years of being Megan Y...I hated it.

Mommy - oh wow! I didn't think about SS list of names! Could be an interesting spot to check for unique names! Thanks!'

Oh I really do so love Killian!

I like all the names you guys have picked. Eliza is cute. I like Ezekiel, Catherine (My youngest right now is Katherine) and I like Grey or Greyson, clearly, because it's one of my choices. smile.gif The boys will be Grayson Eric and Garrett Edward. Middle names are family names - Eric is my only brother and DH is Edward.

:-) The only downfall I see of Killian's name is that it's also a beer name (and our last name is the same as another brand of beer.) I get a lot of people struggling to place where they've heard it before, and finally I help them out. I knew that ahead of time but we're beer people anyway, I didn't think it was that common of a beer, and if it was, it would be okay. My family is all Irish Catholics so they think of St. Killian and the beer and are perfectly happy for both.

I like the SSA lists because it's fun to watch naming trends. I didn't use them with Ciara or else I would have considered how popular Sierra and Cierra were...we know two with those spellings and the dreaded "Ciara with a C" comes out. Oh well, she likes her name and it's hers to keep, so as long as it's fine for her, it's fine for me.

Grayson and Garrett!!! They sound great together! Similar but distinct. I really like the way they roll off the tongue, and they have the same sound without being too "twinny."

Rylan/Ryland was on the list of names for my first!

DH agreed to think of some *real suggestions* last night! Will probably still be awhile but forward movement is good!!!

I think our baby is Hannah. Its the only name we both love and we have been using it for a while and it seems to be sticking. Other names we liked were Olivia, Audrey, Allison (which is my middle name and my dad's middle name too :-). Not settled on a middle name yet, but I like Kathrine and Soleil. Maybe both! I loved the name Beatrice, but got vetoed by my husband...I guess he gets a say, LOL.

I have never met a Rylan... Hannah is a beautiful name.

Our top choice is Eleanor... probably Ellie for short. Middle name will definitely be Julia.

We're still working out a middle name for Ezekiel . . . This is all assuming we have a boy, if we have a girl it will be Beatrice Clare after dh's grandmother and my grandfather . . . But if it is a boy I am now considering Ezekiel Koa. It's a hawaiian name & we live in Hawaii and it means strong brave warrior, which I just love. I think I almost have dh convinced . . .

Ezekiel is a nice name. What about Ezekiel Jean?

We are having a hard time with names for our girl. DH doesn't want to talk about it for some reason. DD is happy to talk but she wants Penelope or Astroid. She overheard me saying Astrid...

I have a friend who let her daughter pick her little brother's middle name and she chose D.ash after the Incredibles, so his name is Colli.n Das.h, which I think is really cute. I asked what my daughter liked for boys names and she named three of her friends from her class at school...not what I was hoping for. I haven't talked to my husband yet...I'm going to wait for him to bring it up even if he waits til the last minute. I was in such a rush to get a name the last two times and he just dragged it on until D-Day. No use in hounding him earlier this time I guess.

I love baby names too, but it's funny that with each pregnancy, I don't want to re-use names that I had wanted for previous babies.

My first daughter is named Emerson Barbara

and my second son is named Camden Erik

this will be my third and we won't know the sex until we meet him or her so my current choices are:

Truman Joseph for a boy and P.reston Dorothy for a girl

I'm pretty set on those two, but who knows what will happen.
