Just for Fun- Labor "Facts"

I thought we could use a lighthearted thread as we sit around and wonder if we are or are not about to go into labor. Feel free to add your own

Ways to Stall Labor:

  • Shave
  • Get a pedicure
  • Pack the hospital bag

Signs of Impending Labor:

  • Polishing the silver tea set you never use (I actually did this the day before birthing my second.)
  • Having something fun planned you don't want to miss

Stall - Focus on your EDD or how far along you are after you've hit "full-term"/baby-can-come-when-ready point.

Cause Labor - Eat something in one sitting when it usually takes two or more. (For my first, it was a gigantic Mexicali burrito. I would normally eat half, wrap, stash in fridge, eat remainder later. Ate an entire one for dinner. Water broke the next morning.)

Stall: work on paperwork that has fallen behind - the universe just doesn't let anyone out of this unfortunate task!

Cause: Fireworks! Attend as many as you can and scare the baby out, LOL

True fact: My mother went into labor and headed to the hospital on 7/4 (see??? - she tried to scare me out), but was ultimately sent home to come back three days later. I'm just stubborn like that!
