Yay! I just stopped back in, and glad to see things are flying here!

Name you want to be called: My actual name is Jenine, my former sn here was jen ine jess ica  (spaces thrown in now, because family started trying to search for me!) I can go by either JJ or just my SN.
Area of location you live: I'm in Manitoba, Canada.
How many children you have already, if any: Just one. My daughter will be 2 at the end of November.
Estimated expectancy date: June 14, 2013
Hobbies: Reading. Watching old tv series. I used to love crocheting, but haven't done anything since my daughter was born. I have no time for hobbies!
Anything else you like to share: This was very much a planned pregnancy, but kind of shocked it happened so fast! We tried for Tenley for 9 months, and this was our first month of TTC this time around. Very excited. Hoping for a homebirth this time, we weren't able to get a midwife last time, and got stuck with an OB attended hospital birth. :( That's my biggest fear with this pregnancy.

Hey everyone,

I'm due sometime between June 10 and June 17, my cycles are irregular so I figure I'll go by the ultrasound dating.

I have one daughter, born in May of 2012, and I had a miscarriage this past July so I'm a little nervous about this pregnancy.

I do a ton of knitting, and am excited to do some baby knitting this time around!

Mother to an adorable girl born May 2012, miscarriages in July and November 2013, August 2014.

I'm Erica. I've been married for 6 years and I have a daughter who will be 3 on Saturday. I'm currently in Colorado Springs, CO, but we are missionaries to Germany, and we will be going back in March. So I'll be giving birth there. My daughter was a natural waterbirth with midwives at a birth center, and I'd love to do that again, but I will have to research what my options will be in Germany. I think my due date is June 14th. We got pregnant the first cycle of trying, which is pretty exciting! My hobbies are mostly sewing and reading, but I also enjoy board games, disc golf, cooking and baking, and knitting. It's nice to meet you all, and I'm glad this group is up and running!

Hi everyone! I'm glad to be here after a couple of early mc's this past spring...hoping I can stick around. I am in the ridiculously expensive san francisco bay area and love my job as a maternal/child public health nurse. My DD is 4 and will be 5 by the time this nugget comes out around June 13th. My husband and I are Brazil-ophiles and travel there yearly to play music and dance. I guess I'll have to figure out if I should go this february when i'll be 5-6 months pregnant! Might be a good babymoon but i don't like the idea of the long plane ride...

Name you want to be called: Steph
Area of location you live: Lansing, Michigan
How many children you have already, if any: 2 boys, ages 5 and 2 (also have had 3 losses, so this is my 6th pregnancy)
Estimated expectancy date: Due June 24, 2014
Hobbies: Writing, Reading, Internet
Anything else you'd like to share: We just had a miscarriage in June/July and were not going to TTC until December, but decided at the last minute to just let whatever happened happen. Well, it happened! orngbiggrin.gif Really hoping this will be our third home birth as I was recently diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder that usually means automatic induction and hospital birth.

Era, we're not too far from each other! I grew up in G.R. and still miss it (but not the lake effect snow!)

Benegesserit, it's nice to see you again!

Mama to DS1 (12/07), DS2 (4/11), and DD (6/22/14)
Finally diagnosed with APS after 3 s (11/09, 3/10, 7/13)

Hello, I'll go by my username snowydays, I am a single mom to a wonderful 10 year old, I am scared of doing this all over again with a second child on my own but hoping I will still have my family's support. Trying to think positive that I have done it before so I CAN do it again. I have to admit I carefully thought about all my options when I found out, but think the only option right for us is to keep the baby, yet I still have moments where I'm not 100% sure. This is a secret pregnancy for now. My due date is June 1st

I'm Heather.    I live in the Philadelphia area.    I have 5 children.   boy 17, boy 11, boy 9, girl 6 and boy 4.    My guess date is June 10.       My interests are placentas.   I love all things placenta.   Natural Health, volunteering at church, books, crafting.

I'm a bit nervous if this baby is going to stick.   I had an ultrasound and there is a bleed near the sac.   Sac was empty but it was at 5wks and thats pretty normal to have an empty sac that early.  I go back in a couple weeks for a follow up ultrasound,

Name you want to be called: Sheena
Area of location you live: Montreal, Qc, Canada
How many children you have already, if any: 2 boys, 6 years old and 3 years old
Estimated expectancy date: June 10th
Hobbies: I am a jeweller, I have my own business so that is kind of like a work hobby. As for real hobbies, I love salsa dancing.
Anything else you like to share: This will be my third baby, second VBAC most likely at home although I am considering going to the birth center if I do manage by some major stroke of luck to get a spot. I am on the waiting list now. If I don't get a spot, which is most likely, there is a lot of demand and not that many places....then I will hire my private midwife again and have a home birth with her again. I was very happy with her and my experience last time , I would just prefer not to have to pay!

We got pregnant on our first month of trying...hoping for a girl this time. We followed the "Shettles method" for a girl so fingers crossed!

Canadian mom of Myron born in Japan, March 2007. Our second son born at home, wonderful HBAC in July 2010. I am a jeweller, I love creating things!

Name you want to be called: Jenn

Area of location you live: Twin Cities, MN

How many children you have already, if any: We have two children now- DS 5.5y and DD 3y

Estimated expectancy date: Due June 10th

Hobbies: Gardening, Yoga

Anything else you like to share: I'm at home with our two kids who we homeschool.  We haven't done too much yet since they are both still very young, but we plan to use a mix of Waldorf and Unschooling for our approach to their education.  I love gardening and being outside with the kids on hikes or nature walks.

I have had two wonderful homebirths already and we're planning the same for this one.  I did tear pretty bad with the last one (who was 10 days late and rather large) so I'd say that I'm most concerned about that this time around.

I'm so excited that this group is up and going now.  We aren't telling anyone yet and it sure will be nice to talk to you ladies about all this pregnancy stuff!!!

Jenn (30) wife to DH (42) and Mama to DS (2). Looking forward to our with #2 due Nov. 2 2010.

Congratulations to you all!! Got my BFP last weekend, and happy to see the group up and running.

Name you want to be called:  Ang
Area of location you live:  Midwest
How many children you have already, if any:  One DS, age 2
Estimated expectancy date:  June 13 (by LMP)
Hobbies:  Reading, playing with DS, cooking
Anything else you like to share:  I was a SAHM until about a month ago, when I decided to go back to work. A month into my new job I get a BFP duh.gif. We are very happy to be pg, though, as it took us nearly 2 years and countless failed fertility attempts to get pg the first time around. This time we had only been sort of trying, mostly just not preventing, since the first of the year. My goal is to be more active in this DDC. The last time around I lurked a lot but very rarely posted anything.

Snowydays, I'm in the same boat. Single mom to a toddler and just found out pregnant. The dad won't be able to help much but will as much as possible. But I'm still expecting to do most if not all the work myself. And it's terrifying.

Name you want to be called: Skye or kylaskye, either works.
Area of location you live: new England
How many children you have already, if any: 1 two year old
Estimated expectancy date: last couple of days in May, but I fully expect to go over.
Hobbies: I don't have time for them. Hiking, knitting/crochet/spinning yarn. Reading and chick flicks.
Anything else you like to share: I know I'm a May edd, but I am likely going to birth in June so I wanted to get to know you ladies too.

Hi Amy - I saw your post too, and man we sure seem to have a lot in common!  I am involved with API, well I'm on the list anyway and we do practice AP, although I haven't been involved with the group since my DS (who is 5.5y) was a baby.  I'd say that its pretty likely that we've met or have at least bumped into each other around town since we seem to run in similar circles.  Are in involved with any of the local homeschool groups?  My husband is a teacher too by the way, although since this summer he's been doing something else.  I just thought that was funny since it's just one more thing we have in common.  This is pretty fun to have a mama in this group that live so close to us!

Hi, All! I'm so glad the group is finally up and running!

My name is Sarah and I live just outside of Toronto, Ontario. My EDD is June 9th and I have one DD who turned 2 last month. This was our second cycle of TTC and so happy that I got that BFP!

Last time around we were planning on a home waterbirth, but after 30 hours of labour I had stalled. The midwife packed up the gear and we headed to the hospital so I could get a break. Turns out the change of scenery did the trick! By the time we got there it was time to push. Without even checking into the hospital, I crawled up on a bed and gave birth. 36 hours of back-labour later, DD was born! I'm hoping this time labour will progress faster and we'll be able to do the whole thing at home, in the pool.

We're a Waldorf-inspired family and the 'plan' is to homeschool with a mixture of Waldorf curriculum and project-based learning. I'm currently a WAHM, but planning to start my mat leave in January so that I can destress, knit, relax and enjoy this pregnancy (something I didn't really get a chance to do with DD.)

Hobbies: knitting, writing, photography, sewing, blogging, reading about child development... Though there's not much time for anything with a headstrong toddler running around.

Name you want to be called:  Erin

Area of location you live:  Utah
How many children you have already, if any:  Two daughters, 8 years and 18 months
Estimated expectancy date:  June 5
Hobbies:  learning new things
Anything else you like to share: I got pregnant on the first try, so that's exciting. I decided this past spring on memorial day that a memorial day baby would be nice, and I kinda want to do an outside birth. My middle daughter's birth totally worked out the way I had it planned, so we'll see how that all works out, ha! And we're not going to find out the sex of the baby...

Happily married to my soul mate, and a mommy of two girls + another baby due in June!

You can call me berry!

I live in the Twin Cities, MN  Amy & Jenn that makes 3 of us!! I sure hope neither of you use the same midwife I do ;)

Three energetic little guys, 4 1/2, 3, & 15 months

Guess date is June 20th

So blessed to be a SAHM and beginning to homeschool our boys (lots of Montessori influence). All three of my previous births have been water births (the thought of a "land" birth terrifies me), and the last two were wonderful home births. Each one has been better than the last so I'm looking forward to a great experience this time around too. Blissfully happy to be pregnant again, and praying this little one sticks!

Hobbies are reading, playing piano, cooking, and baking (I especially love decorating cakes).

Jesus lover, World's luckiest wife for the last 6 years, and Blessed beyond measure to be mom to three energetic little guys  5, 3.5, & 2  + our new little princess!

How funny that there are so many Twin Cities homeschooling mamas here! Berry, I think I'm going to look in the MN Birth Center this time (the one across from Abbott), so as long as we're not fighting for spots there, we should be okay :) Otherwise, I'll use North Metro Midwives, and they're hospital-based. After having 2 babies who couldn't breathe, homebirth isn't worth it for us anymore. Glad to have another mama of 3 boys here!

Jenn, I don't participate with API events much these days either, but I've been on the email list for 9 years now and still come to an occasional playgroup or MNO. Once we moved to the 'burbs and had kids of school age, it was harder to be involved. We do a lot with Twin Cities Homeschoolers co-op and my Catholic homeschool co-op.

Mama to Peter (3/8/04), Leo (3/12/06), Timothy (7/24/10), and boy #4 due on the summer solstice 2014

Name you want to be called: PhoebeMom, Phoebe's mom
Area of location you live: Hampton Roads, VA
How many children you have already, if any: I have a ten month old
Estimated expectancy date: not entirely sure but I'm guessing mid-June. I'll find out next week.
Hobbies: reading, movies, crafts, learning to sew, cooking, hiking
Anything else you like to share: I'm interested in dairy-free, gluten-free cooking. Not necessarily by choice but I've found that I actually like eating that way. Also, interested in VBAC and just in general raising children in a natural, chemical-free, healthy way smile.gif

Wow!  In the other two DDC that I've been a part of there wasn't anyone who lived close to me that I knew of and now TWO local mamas so far!  This is such fun!  Do either of you local mamas go to Blooma Yoga?  I went during my second pregnancy and loved it!  I'm going to start going again as soon as I'm ready to start telling everyone that we're expecting.

Berry: Hmmm...now you have me curious about who your midwife is.  We are blessed with so many amazing midwives here in the twin cities that I would be surprised if we had the same one.   I wasn't planning on contacting mine just yet, but I bet she'll have room for both of us even if we do happen to use the same one.

Jenn (30) wife to DH (42) and Mama to DS (2). Looking forward to our with #2 due Nov. 2 2010.

LOL! Jenn & Amy It was just a joke, I'm not worried :) I have a friend who just birthed at the MN birth center in September and she LOVED IT! My sister-in-law tried blooma and liked it too. We're in the east burbs though so it's kind of a hike.
