Not even close if you factor in all the coupons one gets for disposable diapers. Of course, saving money is not the only reason why I'd do cloth diapers, actually that is the least of all reasons, the main reason is environmental protection, of course, but let's just say I'm not in a position to just buy whatever I want …. grrr.
I think my husband would go nuts if I were to go ahead and spend some 300dollars on a full set of diapers.
Not to mention I'm horribly germophobic.
However, if I ever find a full stash of used Imse Vimse AIO diapers and manage to snatch it, I'll totally give it another try and get over my phobia. I love the idea of the flushable inserts (that are supposed to catch the bulk of the poop) that Imse Vimse has going on considering how poopphobic I am. But here in Sweden, despite it being a very eco-environment-hippie-friendly country, cloth diapers don't seem to be at all popular and it's rare to see them for sale used (and in decent condition).
Baby wipes … I honestly can't even imagine having cloth wipes … it's the germophobia again
Somebody convince me that it's not unsanitary! Gimme research numbers or something! I beg of you! I'm actually serious ...
One question: How do you make sure that none of the germs stay in the washing machine after washing all those poopy diapers? Do you bleach it from time to time?
PS: Just so you know, if you didn't notice already, this is a total cranial diarrhea ….
