Hello new friends! I'm adding another Sarah to the group :)

Name: Sarah
Age: 34 (turning 35 in July too!)
Due Date(Actual date, "beginning," "middle," or "end" of February if you prefer): Feb 27 (my husband's b-day)
Location: Chester County, PA
How long it took you to get your BFP: 2 cycles
What number child this is for you: 3
Family (spouse, other children, pets, etc.): It is me, my husband, and our two sons (4.5 and 2)
Baby's gender (hopes/guesses): No hopes or guesses - part of my I guess would love to see what raising a girl would be like but part of me would feel so surprised as I am now used to my boys
Birth plans/preferences: Hospital birth with a doula - both previous pregnancies were vaginal so hoping that remains the case
Blog/website/etc: Nope - I am boring!
Anything else you would like to share: I am still good friends with my Mothering March 2012 group - we actually have a fb group and we're really active still (about 5-10 posts a day, helping each other through divorce and miscarriage as well as celebrating new pregnancies, adoption and milestones). I feel so lucky that I had that group during my pregnancy so I am excited to be a part of this group now as it is amazing to have so much support!

Hellooooo Mamaaaas!

Name: Lauren
Age: 37
Due Date: Feb 21st!!!
Location: Lansing, MI
How long it took you to get your BFP: We tried for 6 cycles before we saw the Dr. She figured out my thyroid wasn't working and put me on synthroid and I got pregnant the next cycle.
What number child this is for you: 2 for me, it's my husband's 1st!
Family (spouse, other children, pets, etc.): Dh 34, DD 6, Cat 14, cat 1
Baby's gender (hopes/guesses): I'd love to have another girl, but I'd be happy with a boy too. Dh wants a boy.
Birth plans/preferences: My first birth was traumatic. I'll probably go for a c-sect this time. Don't hate me.

It's nice to see some older mamas out here this time around! Hopefully we can all love and support each other!

Hi everyone!

So excited to find this forum and join this DDC - I've been itching to talk pregnancy with people but I'm not telling anyone (except my parents and in-laws) yet, so it's been difficult!

Name: Amanda
Age: 34 (35 by the due date)
Due Date: According to my pregnancy app, Feb.10. I think it'll be earlier though because my cycles were pretty short - 22 days - so I think I ovulated earlier than the calculators expect. First prenatal appointment tomorrow, so maybe I'll get a more precise date.
Location: California Bay Area
How long it took you to get your BFP: 3 months, but within that was almost a month apart from my husband when I was traveling for work, so I'm surprised at how quickly it happened!
What number child this is for you: 1st
Family (spouse, other children, pets, etc.): Husband and one pet bird (budgie - he's 3)
Baby's gender (hopes/guesses): No idea.
Birth plans/preferences: Um, not sure yet. The options are overwhelming! I'm still trying to read everything I can. Did I mention that I didn't expect to get pregnant so fast? I thought I had plenty of time to prepare!

I'm starting to get excited but it was rough for awhile because I've felt so sick and tired. I think my morning sickness started practically with conception. Actually I found out I was pregnant when I went to the doctor to see why I had been feeling sick for a week, and they did a blood test just in case. I hadn't even missed my period yet! I had no idea morning sickness could start so early. It's a bit better now, thankfully. I had terrible visions of 9 months of nausea.

Hi, @ajoye! It's nice to see another Bay Area mama here. I live in DC right now, but my heart's still in Berkeley and we're working on moving back just as soon as we can figure out the job situation.

Allow me to introduce myself...

Hello All,

Name:Kirsten
Age:35
EDD: "middle" of February, 2/15, I think. Or, it could be January if I'm a month off! I'm either 6w4d or -10w4d...! Yes, I know that seems unbelievable.
Location: Massachusetts
How long it took you to get your BFP: I feel like it has been along timeline I've done this... I don't remember what BFP stands for. But I gather it's how long it took to get pregnant. For us? This baby is a big surprise! So I'm not sure I'm even used to the idea yet.

What number child this is for you: 3.
Family (spouse, other children, pets, etc.): DH Steve, a son 3yo and daughter 2yo. The are 18 mos apart so many of my memories of the earliest year, especially the second time, are a little blurry. This baby will be almost exactly 3 years behind his/her older sister.

Baby's gender (hopes/guesses): ????
Birth plans/preferences: homebirth. First one was in an amazing detached birthcenter with midwives in CO, second time that was the plan too in MN but she was breech at the last minute we went to the hospital for an all natural wonderful birth, but completely perturbing labor experience. Wish I had gone home, so now I get the chance to try it!

Blog/website/etc:nope.
Anything else you would like to share: we have to figure out how to share the news of baby #3 when we've been quite clear we were done with two! Hm! We'd like it to be fun and exciting instead of a bunch if "how did this happen" questions!

#67 ·
Hi @TeeThatsMe! Nice to meet you! I'm fairly new to the area myself since we moved up from SoCal last fall. I did live here a few years back, though. I'm in San Jose.

AND I am apparently in the wrong due date club! I had my first prenatal appointment this morning and the ultrasound showed I am actually 10w4d (!!) New due date is January 18! So I guess that wasn't a period in May, just prolonged implantation bleeding? It was like 7 days long! Still a bit shocked.

Name: Melissa
Age: 25 (26 by the due dote)
Due Date: Feb. 5th
Location: Northern California
How long it took you to get your BFP: 4 months.
What number child this is for you: 2nd
Family (spouse, other children, pets, etc.): Fiancé and our 5 year old son
Baby's gender (hopes/guesses): will this pregnancy is much different from my last. So everyone thinks im going to have a girl. We just want a healthy happy baby :)
Birth plans/preferences: I had 3 really close friends my sons dad and my cousin in the room last time. It was great and comforting! I plan on having a similar situation this time around

Hey you guys! My name is Mady. I am 19. Mt due date is ironically February 14, 2015. I'm a navy wife and currently in MS. It took me a year and a week to get my BFP. This is our first. greetings!

Hi there mamas,
I joined this club last night, and am so glad to see the discussions you are having (which I can't have elsewhere since its so early!) Weird dreams - yes! Should we night wean? - thinking about that. Bloating in the evening - yes, OMG what is up with that?

I am expecting baby #2 in late Feb 2015, I am almost 6 weeks along now. I had a feeling about it and tested positive the morning of father's day. I put the stick in a little box and gave it to my husband as a father's day gift - he was floored, overwhelmed, and happy.

My last pregnancy involved a lot of nausea and constant vomiting that kicked in around week 7 and stuck around until week 15 or so. I am hoping, praying, its not like that this time. So far, so good.

My daughter is 15 mos and the most amazing light of my life. She has just started walking and is talking up a storm - favorite words being "shoes," "ball," "berries," and "nurse" of course. I think she is no where near interested in weaning so i am wondering about how that will go and staying open to the possibility of nursing through the pregnancy or not - just taking it as it comes.

Im glad to be here with you!

Doyle

Age: 31
DD: 3/1, so I'm thinking I'll stick with this DDC, altho it's most likely I will deliver very beginning of March.
Location: Pacific redwoods
How long it took for BFP: 15 months
Which number child: 6
Gender hopes: we would live another girl, but we're happy no matter what!
Family: Dh, ds, 12 & 4, dd 6,8,10
Birth plans: I already found my midwife, and plan to have a water birth at home

I'm excited to get to know you all, small chance I might switch to the March DDC, but I'll probably just stick around here. I'm still very close to my friends from my last DDC five years ago, and haven't really been back since.
