Anyone else having trouble sleeping? I'm exhausted but still awake at 2, 3, and 4 am. Not even to pee. Ugh!

I was up last night around 2 with the worst cramps. I rolled around in bed for a long time willing myself to sleep through it, but the pain wouldn't let me. I ended up getting up and walking around the house for a while and drank some water. Got back in bed with my microwaveable heating pad and that seemed to (finally) help. Dunno how long I was up total, but it felt like hours. That pain was really scary.

Yes! I am so tired and pass out super hard when I go to bed but without fail I am wide awake at 3 am every night. What the heck?! Ha ha. I don't sleep in even though I could use it.

I think so? No bleeding at all, and everything kind of settled down eventually. Had mild cramps/backache today, but I think some of that was due to digestive issues. :/

Sorry to hear about the cramps knittygritty. I sometimes get super awful gas pains that feel like my ribs are trying to pull apart. Usually only if I drink milk or eat yogurt though...

AFM: I'm still trucking along feeling mostly alright. Waves of nausea every now and again, but manageable. I'm just waiting for it to start though. I had really bad ms the last two times well into the 2nd trimester. Hoping it will be different this time, but not expecting it. Set in around 6 weeks before, so I'm fully expecting to feel like crap next weekend Alas, DH is out of town until July 6th, so fingers crossed it's not too bad before then!

Yes! The night waking has begun. I go to bed exhausted and wake up every couple of hours. On the days that I can sleep in, I wake at least an hour before I have to get up. Then I just want to sleep all day.

Ugh; the morning sickness is here. With my daughter, I couldn't eat vegetables. This time around, it's liquids. Everything I've tried is making me want to barf. Trying to stay hydrated sucks.

I went out and got sea bands, and they seem to take the edge off. I'm just horrendously nauseated for hours at a time. I have been napping with the toddler, too. And nursing is pretty painful all of the sudden.

It's pretty obvious I've hit the 6 week mark.

Napping every, every, every single day. I don't care if it's 5pm and I've finally stumbled home from work--I am taking a NAP, by God. Hoo boy. Can't wait for that second trimester energy.

Sneezed this morning before I had a chance to put a hand down for support and lay there in round ligament hell for like five minutes as the pain slowly ebbed away. Not cool, ligaments. Not Cool.

Anybody else notice a MARKED change in nausea levels when you move between indoors and outdoors? We went camping this weekend; I was pretty apprehensive going out there for three straight days because I've been such a wreck at work, but it was glorious! I barely had a problem eating at all! The minute we got into the car to come home... Ah, hello, nausea, my old friend.

So, I just wanted to let you all know, that everything smells funny, everything tastes weird. Nothing tastes good. This morning my husband hands me a glass of water and asks, "Does this smell funny?" And I smelled it, and it DID! But, turns out nectarines don't taste funny, they taste totally normal, and very good. I asked my daughter to please eat the apples so that I can have the nectarines. Maybe it's just me, though. If not, you should try it.

TeeThatsMe, we went to the zoo today. Boy was that a mistake! The plants were offensive, the animals were, too. And I have also been getting naps every day. Not a nap person, but whenever I try to take a break and watch tv I just automatically fall asleep.

Three kids and one on the way.

I'm just into 4 weeks. No nausea yet but the cravings have definitely started, I didn't even know that was possible this early but I never get intense cravings and now I do. I've been dying for Spanish food which sucks because in Texas all we have are Mexican Restaurants - which are totally good but not Spanish - and the best Spanish food I've ever had was in the Bronx so I'm out of luck. Time to Google some recipes. On top of that I've been really wanting brussel sprouts and white rice. I've also been experiencing the middle of the night insomnia, I wake up 2-3 times in a night even though I go to bed EXHAUSTED. & I've had to ditch our nightly walking routine because by the end of the day I'm so physically drained.

Ugh, hello nausea. Apparently, I can't take more than one supplement at a time. I took zinc and d3 with food an hour or so ago, and now I feel horrible. This has been happening for a few days, but this is the first time that I've really thought I might toss my cookies. Ick.

Add me to the list of those with insomnia. I can't figure out if I am waking up because I have to pee, or if I am peeing just because I am waking up. Either way, it's 4-7x a night and it's no fun!

My nausea subsided a bit over the weekend and it freaked me out. It was bad today though, and I have to admit, I'm glad. I don't usually throw up... if I started doing that I would not be so glad. And I would be convinced I was having twins because throwing up would be way out of the ordinary for a pregnancy for me.

Other than that, my nipples are hurting when DD3 nurses and I am soooo ready to be done. She, on the other hand, is not. She is popping molars and is CRANKY.

Oh- apparently my taste is all off too. I bit into a carrot and thought the bag was old or something because it was bitter. So I opened a new bag and it tasted bad too. The same thing happened when I ate a green bean from the garden. I spit it out right away. DH said they tasted good though.

Finally started to feel like this pregnancy is the one. My boobs have started to have that "let down" feeling. I haven't had that feeling in 10 years! But as soon as I felt it again, it was so familiar. My 1st trimester anxiety is subsiding... and we're really having a baby!!

I think it may be the zinc. I have always felt queasy after taking zinc pills.

For me, it's like my breasts are just... Full. And heavy, and... I don't know, warm and a little tingly? Ready to go with the milk, even though there isn't any milk there to speak of. But I feel it getting going anyway!

For me it happens when my milk really starts to flow (while nursing, or if they're too full). It sometimes results in milk that spurts across the room and tries to drown baby until they're big enough to handle it. It feels tingly, and like a release of pressure. Hard to describe!

I keep touching my nipples, expecting to feel wet spots... Knowing that at 8 weeks, that's completely ridiculous!
I sat for a while and tried to put the feeling into words. I can't! It's a very distinct feeling that milk is coming down into the nipples, ready to be expressed. Not painful, but definitely sensational. I would say on a scale of pain it's sort of a tickle... in the realm of "discomfort" without actually being discomforting. Perhaps, as though somebody is squeezing your nipples, but from the inside...

Anyway, this nausea and this nipple tickle... and the slowly firming of these saggy breasts o' mine... all these signs that my body is creating something special, I'm loving 'em all!

Oh! Gotcha. I didn't realize you were talking about the milk let down feeling. I don't get that feeling until after birth. I usually get the full feeling but this time I haven't yet. Probably bc I am still nursing.

I didn't have this feeling with my first two babes until after they were born, and the milk really was letting down.

I thought this was that sensitive boob feeling? No? Well, they are sensitive, too, but also... expressive!!

I think so, too. I feel really bad, because a month or two ago, DH had a nasty cold, and I loaded him up on vit c and zinc before he left for work. He ate breakfast and drank plenty of water, so I thought he would be fine. He had a long drive to the job he was doing, and got sick on the way there. Poor guy had to pull over and throw up on the side of the road, plus find a bathroom. I felt bad for him then, but yesterday, I was apologizing profusely!

The only reason why I got out of bed this morning was because my necessity to pee outweighed my necessity to sleep. So.. freaking tired. Woke up at 3 am having to go to the bathroom and took forever to fall back asleep. I feel like a zombie..

I also suffered from insomnia last night @alivewithyou . I usually get it as a PMS symptom, so I'm guessing it's how my body deals with the extra hormones on board. It sucks though, because I feel tired enough to sleep by like 9pm but then I can't get in a full night. Ah well, it's not like I've had many full nights of sleep anyway since having kids

Realized that the crippling cramps I get every night are horrible gas pains...learned some ways to deal with them so that I'm not up for hours at a time and can go back to sleep. I find that the happy baby yoga pose really helps me, though I won't be able to do it later in pregnancy.

On a happier note, I had a dream last night that I was holding someone's roly poly adorable little baby boy and it was so wonderful. He was so cuddly and happy and felt so perfect in my arms. I can't wait to feel the real thing.
