Chocolate

I know that I simply cannot have chocolate when I'm breastfeeding without seriously upsetting my babies' stomachs. Not even a bite.

I wonder if it hurts them that much during BF, can it possibly hurt them to have it while they are in the womb? The thought of chocolate has seemed revolting with the morning sickness up until now, and every once in a while I actually want some. But now I'm worried that every time I have some the poor baby is in pain.

Four children. Just welcomed our newest member on 2/12!

I doubt it. Your body is breaking everything down and sending it via blood. When nursing, baby's immature digestive system has to deal with it and break things down on its own. You've partially broken it down into breastmilk, but there is still some digesting for them to do.
